The center’s working assumption was that the earlier you treat kids with gender dysphoria, the more anguish you can prevent later on. This premise was shared by the center’s doctors and therapists. Given their expertise, I assumed that abundant evidence backed this consensus.
This is the issue I have with it all. If we took any kid and push them to the opposite sex saying you look like a boy but you are a girl then that is all they know of their reality. You can be a boy or girl or even a kitten if that is what you want. Creating a massive level of confusion in a child that doesn't really know anything yet. Once they get older they start to question it all, but it is too late to have a normal life of the same sex of their body.
We all can go back once again to the point to let kids be kids and as they mature into their teens their sexual identity/orientation will manifest on its own with little help or grooming from wacko doctors and counselors. As they push past 18 they can more firmly decide what is best for them as there is no race here, no deadline and I have said many times too early is not good and that will create issues down the road too.

The thing is, you only hear about the sensationalized.
Which is not a measure of every day reality.

You don't seem to understand the difference between fact and opinion. You falsely stated that science doesn't understand why people are heterosexuals. That's your OPINION which runs counter to the FACT that science DOES understand why people are heterosexuals.

Please provide scientific study on how the body determines sexual orientation.

The book that MCPS has recommended for children in pre-kindergarten is "Pride Puppy," which teaches terms like "intersex," "drag king," "drag queen" and "Marsha P. Johnson," the late famed drag performer.
Pre-K teachers are also provided a resource guide about "defining LGBTQ+ words for elementary students" by the Human Rights Campaign, which includes vocabulary like "cisgender," "gender binary," "transgender," "pansexual" and "queer."
Students in kindergarten, ages 5 and 6, are advised to read the 2021 book, "Uncle Bobby’s Wedding," which is about a wedding between two men.
Students in first grade are advised to read "IntersectionAllies: We Make Room for All," which includes LGBTQ+ topics on being "non-binary" and deciding "what pronouns fit you best."
Students in second grade, ages 7 and 8, are recommended to read "My Rainbow," a book about a Black transgender child that teaches the words "transgender" and "cisgender." A "think aloud" moment, according to MCPS, includes, "Appreciating that Trinity’s identities are part of what make her a 'masterpiece.'
Third-graders, ages 8 and 9, are recommended to read the 2018 book "Prince & Knight," which tells the story of a prince who falls in love with a knight.
Fourth-graders are recommended to read the 2022 book "Love, Violet," which tells the story of a queer child who develops a crush on her friend, Mira.
Students in fifth-grade, ages 10 and 11, are advised to read "Born Ready," which tells the story of a Black transgender child.

You asked and took the word of someone you admittedly consider a train wreck?
Would you do that with a straight person?

I would ask anyone what is it that they are looking to gain from any action as that is a normal process when dealing with any subject. My point is I see most trans as train wrecks with the whole trans part as just part of a bigger issue going on. I don't see it as we all know inside what we are no matter what we physically are. That is just a copout to explain away some serious issues.

I have real life trans friends/acquaintances that are not train wrecks.
And I have straight friends/acquaintances that are a train wreck.

There are no trans-humans.
It's physically impossible to transition between genders but you could pretend you're the other gender for as long as you like it. If you happen to believe it too then you're definitely have a mental health issue.
