Weakening the American Constitution to the point of fascism is way more serious than having a crack kid you have to constantly get out of a jam, don't you think?

Trump did the unforgivable. He created a vibe where the far right caused great violence to the American government and threatened the whole House of Congress. They trashed the place and would have trashed the members if they had got hold of them. It could have become very ugly and was plenty ugly enough to see. He even did that to his own Vice President too. Mike is the one who did the right thing. He distanced himself from that disgusting behaviour by Trump. Trump was always a bad card for America. Mike Pence knows enough to get Trump convicted. I know he does.

Trump belongs with the dinosaurs. We need proper and effective collective government, not just the fascist machinations of tangling up our destiny with just one compromised, vulerable to corruption, ever potential dictator. If he makes a mistake he will drag you down with him. You are not free when you are being led according to just one man's personality and all his weaknesses, prejudices and scapegoating projections.

Face it, Republicans, you are the ones who are into personality cults. They did not even fawn over Obama like you did Trump and he Trump proved to be something similar to what James Dean called his car just before it killed him. Think about that.

Trump did the unthinkable. Even I raised a Spock eyebrow and I am unshockable when it comes to the antics of humans.

Yes, we need this to be in court. Biden nor Hunter did that kind of violence against America. Nobody has done that in all your history. Even the ones who assassinated Presidents did not try to impose a dictator. Think about that, Red!

Challenging an election is one thing. Conspiring with a small group of people to put together slates of fake electors and then reaching out to government officials in an attempt to convince them to secretly replace the slate of legally selected electors with your slate of fake electors is something entirely different.

Did you read what Jeff Clark said to the White House Counsel when he was told their plan was illegal and the wound be rioting if they went through with it? "That's what the Insurrection Act is for."

They knew what they were doing wasn't within the confines of the law but they expected to use the military to keep Trump in power. That's the definition of a coup.

Good luck trying to reason with those who drank the Trump kool-aide.

Nothing will convince them Trump is a crook.

Yet they will claim Biden should be impeached based on lies with no evidence. If Biden or anyone else did a fraction of the crimes Trump has done, they would be calling for his head on platter. Trump does it and even admits to many of his crimes and tge maje excuses, deflect, project and refuse to accept their guy is by definition a crook.

I always find it funny when the extremists on both sides sound like this; making clames that their tribesmen are angelic and are being unduly criticized. While at the same time claim their opposition is the devil himself yet is getting away with murder. What's funny about it is how much both sides sounds so much like each other.

Do these charges that Trump is accumulating put the a presidential run out of reach for him?

In the Uk he would be disqualified, and if not disqualified the potential candidate would be made
to stand down.

If it was a standing MP, they would lose their seat and a by-election held.

that's very sad. In the US, you are innocent until proven guilty.

I'm sorry you live in Lala-Land, but Democrat backed BLM caused 100,000+ times the violence January 6th did.

Who before and who since has been held to the same legal standard please?

The answer to your question is that ALL Presidents who tried to illegally stay in office after being voted out (you know, like they do sometimes in banana republics) have been held to the same legal standard.

Fortunately, we've only had one such President in the last 235 years of the Republic.

what date did Trump leave the white house? Oh and DERP!

this is one time Im not putting it on the media. They have to report the history being made today. Regardless if it ends up being another major FAIL by the democrats.

Im puzzled about 'slight', is someone butthurt over not enough attention?

And I'm still going to post threads in any forum allowed. I wish I was as wordy as Boney. But then, I have to run at old halfblind granny speed and it takes me more than a few milliseconds to write a screed like the alternate one posed for my thread. That post would have taken me all day. Well, I guess thats one way to intimidate me into shutting up.

Im just 'what?'

You should write a fiction novel.

They aren't deranged. They know exactly what they are doing. They intend to remain in power by any means necessary.

I don't even think he has to legitimately believe he won.

I dont KNOW who won the election, and neither does anyone else. It was CORRUPT by numerous irregularities that were planned, formed and ignored because COVID.

Trump and his supporters and the republicans with a backbone wanted the irregularities to be weighed to determine how deeply flawed the election actually was.

If he can prove it was deeply flawed, wouldnt he also be innocent of trying to insure we werent steamrolled into accepting the election, which is ultimately what happened because FBI operatives sparked the riot just as Ted Cruz asked for 10 days for a Tiger Team to examine the irregularities.

Nothing about the 2020 election is resolved and all the courts in the world wont resolve it for 75 million people, its a done deal now, except for this persecution of Trump for challenging it.

So lets throw him in jail because he acted like he didn't believe the same way the democrats did about the election, but really, he did and was just faking it.

Do you know how stupid this sounds?

Just skip to the small print at the end that says -
“Orange man hurt us all very deeply, we can never forgive him….We reserve the right to try to make anything stick so he can never hurt us again”
