What’s the biggest conspiracy you can imagine? What is the biggest secret you can imagine? What’s the biggest lie, AND biggest truth you can imagine?

That we exist in this physical form. We are silicon-based life forms entertaining ourselves in a simulation over billions of years while we wait for the universe to cool down enough to be comfortable. Lost in the fantasy, we have so deeply accepted the "matrix" and have completely forgotten the reality. Even to entertain the idea blows grey matter out our (not really here, like the spoon) ears.

I actually came on this forum because I wanted to see if anyone here was even interested in truth. Would it be “casting pearls” to toss a real kernel of truth into the melee of bots, clickbait, and rants?

So far, it’s been pretty much as expected. Here’s the problem with disclosure… very few people are even interested in the truth because it destroys the lie all their belief is clinging to. Truth is also something you have to work for, and most people are mentally lazy. Not because they really are, but because it’s a lot less work to swallow spoon fed lies than to look for truth in a world that’s literally built by piling lies on top of lies… the tower of Babylon.

One problem I see is a serious lack of imagination. It’s killing our ability to entertain any idea outside of whatever belief we cling to. How are you supposed to figure out what’s possible if you won’t even allow possibility to exist?

So I thought we’d try something designed to address that. Something that could open your mind to what’s possible by stretching and flexing your imagination. It’s exercise just like physical exercise, and you don’t get to sit around consuming garbage and chewing the fat if you want results. You have to actually think and thinking is real chop wood, carry water work.

On with the exercise…

So you’ve no doubt heard the line “everything you know is a lie”. Well, I’m here to tell you that’s an understatement of magnanimous proportion. This means the deception is not only bigger than we ever imagined, but bigger than we CAN imagine. So let’s try to imagine. What I want you to do is think of the biggest lie you can imagine. Start by thinking about what we’ve been led to believe and be willing to challenge those beliefs. Not to change your beliefs, but to stretch and flex the container that holds them.

What’s the biggest conspiracy you can imagine? What is the biggest secret you can imagine? What’s the biggest lie, AND biggest truth you can imagine?

Try to actually imagine, not just random speculation. Imagine with the purpose of solving the mystery like your Life depends on it… because it does.

If everything is a lie , then nothing is a lie

Seems like the greatest conspiracy is the Bible.

And looks like there are 2 primary themes running through the Bible, here phrased as questions.

My penultimate biblical question: What is Heaven?

My ultimate biblical question: How can we find eternal life?

One problem I see is a serious lack of imagination.

As others have pointed out using different words, lies/falsehoods are built upon imagination. As Newton put it: "A man may imagine things that are false, but he can only understand things that are true, for if the things be false, the apprehension of them is not understanding."

So true understanding is what to strive for according to Isaac Newton, a sincere* truth seeker (*: as demonstrated by the facts of history). And that involves evaluating* the evidence and arguments put forward in support of a particular view/belief/idea (as was also pointed out by someone on page 1). *: using logic in the proper manner. Newton also has some things to say about the, by now proven, most effective method to discover facts/truths/certainties/realities that were previously not known:

“Rule I. We are to admit no more causes of natural things than such as are both true and sufficient to explain their appearances.
...
Rule IV. In experimental philosophy we are to look upon propositions collected by general induction from phenomena as accurately or very nearly true, notwithstanding any contrary hypotheses that may be imagined, 'till such time as other phenomena occur, by which they may either be made more accurate, or liable to exceptions,

This rule we must follow, that the argument of induction may not be evaded by hypotheses.”

“As in Mathematicks, so in Natural Philosophy, the Investigation of difficult Things by the Method of Analysis, ought ever to precede the Method of Composition. This Analysis consists in making Experiments and Observations, and in drawing general Conclusions from them by Induction, and admitting of no Objections against the Conclusions, but such as are taken from Experiments, or other certain Truths. For Hypotheses are not to be regarded in experimental Philosophy.”
- Isaac Newton (from Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica)

The Encyclopædia Britannica on inductive reasoning:

"When a person uses a number of established facts to draw a general conclusion, he uses inductive reasoning. THIS IS THE KIND OF LOGIC NORMALLY USED IN THE SCIENCES. ..."

You can basically think of inductive reasoning as common sense (although the former has a more specific meaning, the latter is more a general expression, encompassing more than just inductive reasoning).

It is probably true though that the majority of people here come to have their ears tickled as described at 2 Timothy 4:3,4:

“For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome* [Or “healthful; beneficial.”] teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled.* [Or “to tell them what they want to hear.”] They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories.”

“So we should no longer be children, tossed about as by waves and carried here and there by every wind of teaching by means of the trickery of men, by means of cunning in deceptive schemes.” (Ephesians 4:14) Making people slaves to their imagination, imagining false stories/myths to be true.

On the other hand, one can also use their imagination in a positive or effective way, i.e. in a wise way.

Are You Using Your Imagination Wisely?

...

What is imagination? One dictionary defines it as “the ability that you have to form pictures or ideas in your mind of things that are new and exciting, or things that you have not experienced.” With that definition in mind, would you not agree that you use your imagination quite regularly? For example, have you ever read or heard about a place that you have not visited? Did that prevent you from picturing it in your mind? Really, whenever we think of something that we cannot see, hear, taste, touch, or smell, our imagination is at work.

…and there’s the internet skimming bot reply. You see bots can’t really understand imagination because they don’t have any. Their only recourse is to copy/paste a bunch of internet BS trying to act like they do.

So what would be the "truth"? What will be the the truth they'll allow to be the truth?

I think we allowed this to go unchecked for too long and it's beyond us now.

“But let God be found true, even if every man be found a liar.”—Rom. 3:4.

Maybe there was a reason why the one described as “the God of truth” (Ps 31:5) inspired those words to be written down almost 2000 years ago. Just like the warnings and advice in the bible quotations that came up in my previous comment.

Ridicule right off the bat? Why? Is there something specific in my comment you disagree with?

Why would you accuse me of having no imagination when in my comment I referred to the positive or wise use of one's imagination? And the part I decided to quote from the article about that subject makes the point that we all use our imagination "quite regularly". Or because that part is at the bottem of my comment, by then you didn't want to hear it anymore, not wanting to "put up with" (2Tim 4:3) that "bunch of internet BS" anymore at that point, as you put it?

"Imagination is reality" which means that what you imagine is your reality and what I imagine is mine. This is why "truth" is subjective.
