Truth does not anger, truth comforts.
Truth will never cause enmity, some truth comforts, some truth brings peace and some things are only known in peace.
Whatever angers and brings enmity is not the truth.

Hostility angers, enmity angers, all these types of foolishness angers.

Truth is secure.

Do you prefer foolishness or truth?

Truth is a real comforter.

Your brother having raped your sister, it is not the truth that rapes, it is foolishness. Sure, it occured but it was not the truth. The truth is peace and does not harm.

You had me up until the rape bit.

You claim it is only foolishness when a person rapes another person.

The truth is that it takes a sick mind to even think this is justified in any way and it does not comfort me or other victims at all.

If it's the truth that children are trafficked, then that comforts you? You won't feel any negative feelings towards that?

I don't think you thought this through.

Well, if truth is based on or influenced by personal feelings, or your taste or opinions, then it is subjective.

As to rape, well that's simply wrong on any level and in no way acceptable no matter the circumstances.

There is no justification for such a horrendous act of depravity.

It's nice that rape conforms you, as long as someone was truly raped.

Wouldn’t you actually have to know the truth to pontificate on what it is or isn’t?

Not many people believe the whole truth anymore, if you tell someone something real and your true feelings, they get offended if it does not match their beliefs. I see my kids making the same mistakes I did when I was younger and when I preemptively inform them of what is going to happen, they ignore me....and most times their implementing it results in failure.

They also never admit I was right. I may not have done what my parents warned me about, but at least I did listen to their concerns when I was younger, I admitted to them that they were right after I messed up which made them feel better. Now the kids don't acknowledge they screwed up. In fact they blame everything that goes wrong on others it seems. It is not just kids, it is our kids that are in their late thirties to mid forties that have not yet learned to listen to their elders that have experienced these things and learned the hard way.

Do you really think so? That's some sick and twisted idea, possible, though sick and twisted.

Objective truth do not care about the feelings of humans. It is regardless if it is accepted.

To call a person who have raped a rapist might be seen as hostile but that do not make less true.

Many wolves tell others that they should not attack them with objective truth because it hurts their feelings. The tools of emotional manipulation and gas lightning.

“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

I think you are confusing truth with fact

Fact is what, truth is why

Knowing what happened is much different from knowing who did it or their motives

Truth isnt treasure or reward but a price paid, a wrinkle around the eyes and a weight in the bottom of the soul

If truth was all good, there would be no white lies.

Truth hurts.

Sometimes.

They also say "The truth will set you free" which is quite frankly just not true, depending on circumstances.

There is quite a lot of truth that causes anger, anxiety, fear, and other unwanted discomforts. Of all the truth in people's minds, perhaps half of it is unwanted discomforts without further information on that topic. I'd focus on your own example of a sister that rapes a brother. If it is true that a sister has raped a brother, and furthermore true that a someone who empathically loves the sister and let's say is judgmental discovered it to happen, then it is likely that the discoverer will be angry about the situation. The discoverer is not angry that didn't happen and therefore is false, rather they are angry that it did happen and is therefore true. A true event is an event that actually did happen. If rape actually did happen, then that truth discomforting. The knowing of that truth is good, but the meaning of that truth is bad.

It is easier for people to remember when things go wrong than when they go right, and in that respect there could be even more unwanted uncomfortable truths in a person's mind than wanted and comfortable truths. Its a good topic for further information.

I believe that knowing truth is always good, and learning truth is always good, and there is always a certain amount of good feeling in realizing truth. but the good feeling of realizing truth can be overpowered by negative feelings of the meaning of a truth.

Gravity
Gravity allows us to move along Earth's surface. If we were in a gravity-free bubble, our legs would spin and our bodies would flounder, hardly going anywhere. In that way, gravity frees us from a single position on land to walk the Earth. Truth is information we can be confident in. I believe there is always some sort of new choices we can make as the result of any truth, and therefore a freedom in that respect.

Courts of law spring to mind and appear to be a perfect example.

Where an admission of the truth, may well also equate to an admission of guilt.

The outcome of which may well result in incarceration as opposed to freedom.

Possibly worth keeping in mind that one man's truth can be another's lie rootseeker depending on perspective.

I consider truth the rocks the temples of God are made of, I don't consider truth someone having robbed a bank or not. The latter is crime, not truth.
