Right! They cannot lay off the blue collar who actually make up the production lines. Plus the corporate staff have bigger salaries.

So... you're staying asleep? Unaware and unable to accept change? Bud isn't going broke because of "woke". It's straight up hate for that which you don't understand or " believe in". A single beer can, one, scared the "asleep" so bad, they put their beers down and bought another brand. All those lifetime Bud drinkers, scared of 1 can. It has nothing to do with woke. Woke isn't a thing.

Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI.BR), whose Bud Light sales have recently slumped in the United States, will lay off hundreds of corporate staff in the country, CNN reported on Wednesday citing a company statement.

The job cuts would represent less than 2% of total employees at the world's largest brewer, but would not include frontline staff like brewery and warehouse staff, drivers, field sales among others, CNN reported.

Anheuser-Busch did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Bud Light and Budweiser have recently seen its sales drop in the US after a backlash from conservatives over a social media promotion with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney and has been dethroned by Constellation Brands' (STZ.N) Modelo Especial as the top-selling beer brand in the country.

A few comments.

First and most important, if you go woke then you go broke. I think everyone should learn their lesson by now.

On a plus side, frontline staff haven't lost their jobs. I am not in favour of people loosing their jobs, especially ordinary workers who have nothing to do with the bad decisions caused by others in the company (management) and could be against this woke madness.

The article mentions the sales drop after a backlash from conservatives. But it's not only conservatives who criticise the woke ideology and the fact Bud Light, Ben & Jerry's, NatWest, and all other companies/corporations are there to sell us their products and services, but they are not there to tell us how to think, what to think, what to say, how we will say what we want to say, and to try push the woke agenda through their products and with the help of bad actors.

No

Bud Light is going broke because it's going woke.

Lol
It’s not really real…….

Bud Light distributors no longer expect sales to recover from Dylan Mulvaney disaster

After four months of hiring freezes and layoffs — with some beer truck drivers getting heckled and harassed even as Bud Light sales have dropped by more than 25% — Anheuser-Busch wholesalers have accepted that they have lost a chunk of their customers for good — and need to focus on a new crop of drinkers.

Except it really is a thing…..

I don't know why it has taken until now for Budweiser products to become less popular. Canned Bud gives me a headache. Bottled Bud is ok, but there are scores of better beers. Bud-lite has always tasted like piss. And why get Bud on tap when there are so many better beers available?

So what does this downsizing have to do with? Could just be that it has become management top-heavy, and its corporate Belgian overlords are just trying to make it more profitable. My understanding is that peak beer has come and gone, and that beer sales are decreasing in general, although Bud-lite does seem to have been hit harder.

Could this lay-off have to do with the Dylan Mulvaney ad campaign fiasco? Sure. Clearly, in an attempt to reach out to another marketing demographic, Bud-lite has pissed off its long-time base, which primarily only drank the swill because it didn't know any better.

I just find it amusing that for a now foreign-owned company that makes medicore-at-best beer, people are dog-piling on it because of its recent off-putting marketing campaign. Anything to harp on the anti- woke, woke, woke mantra, I guess.

And if you go woke then you go broke.

So you really dislike those "asleep" people and think they are bad people, but still want them to keep giving their own money to something they don't like?

Guess what? No company is entitled to anyone's money. If a company wants my businesses, then they better make sure to at least not insulting me or my beliefs before asking for my money.

So the meme/mantra goes, and thx for making my point in the final line of my previous post. More to the point in this case, don't go woke if your biggest demographic is a bunch of transphobes. Unlike his hitherto now consumers, I didn't drink the swill before the Dylan Mulvaney marketing campaign came along.

Trabsphobia is a made up word and it's a meaningless term. Do you think it describes the vast majority of Bud Light's customers? It's the same with every company that goes woke, they go broke.

"Transphobe" seems to mean "fear of trans sexuals." There is no fear involved. It is merely a dislike of being force fed a narrative that is more of a mental illness. People are pressured to go along with the fantasies of the few or be branded a "phobe" of some sort.
