In the past few years there has been so much noise about drag queens, transgender folks absolutely ruining our youth. The books are too risqué. Okay, I hear ya, there are some progressive ideas some aren’t ready for yet. BUT my blazing question is, do you even give a hoot about the people that are literally raping and killing kids? Do ya? It seems pretty quiet every single time there is a religious figure that does these things.

Child abuse in the church is big, but even bigger is abuse by people that consider themselves religious.

So you're "ready" for kids to be learning about same sex acts from the schools, not the parents. Parents would be bad enough, but I guess most parents would "not be ready" for this crap to be forced on their kids anywhere. Schools or any place else. ANd you see this a a great thing I guess?

First of all the books that drag queens are reading to young kids are not about “sex acts”.
They might have topics like Jonny has two daddies, or something like that, but that is also reality. A kid in school might have two dads, or moms.

As far as middle and high school, I don’t believe in any censorship. If your kid isn’t capable of critical thinking, which includes sex, they sure aren’t ready for the world, especially in the US where sex is constantly shown, social media, tv, movies, games etc.

We need to address the address the existing sexual abuse of children by authority figures, not create another layer.

Why aren't people outraged? We are.

Currently, we have two things going on, making all the headlines.

We have one side of the overall population condemning Religious clergy folk, and being easy on the Sparkling dress wearing folk.

Then we have the other side Condemning the Sparkly dress wearing folk, and being easy on the Religious clergy folk.

Can't we all just come together, and........ Attack them both equally?

Men of all stripes, profession, orientation, background, races, education level, religion, etc. have been a danger to women and children.

Maybe that's why they should not be allowed in women's bathrooms, locker rooms and jails, even in costume.

I agree with your post to a point. If 93% of people that are committing crimes against children are religious, or a religious authority figure that's who's the main problem. Not saying ignore the 7%. Right now that 7% is getting all the heat and the 97% is getting a whisper....

Maybe the men in the womens bathrooms don't want to be those kind of men either, and that's why they switched sides.

Good. I'm glad she has justice. I'm not surprised as I know of victims within a religious setting. Be prepared on this thread, I posted about the hundreds of victims and perpetrators that the Southern Baptist Coalition finally released after hiding the abuse and I was literally called a "devil", "evil spirit" and was straight up attacked for 2 pages. People do not like to hear the truth about many of those in religious positions.

Msybe, but since men come in all kinds of flavors, and are a danger to women and children, shouldn't we be on the safe side? We don't know if someone with ill intent is 'a wolf in sheeps clothing', or a dress as the case may be.

Everybody overlooks what is inconvenient to their position.

God has been sheltering despicable people since the establishment of religion. But for now, it needs to focus on the evils of the left. Rotten pastors aside.

Really, the ones over-obsessed with child abuse are the ones I raise a brow towards. In passing, an average person will be horrified at child abuse, but it's mostly object impermanent. While against it, it doesn't come up often or occupy their mind unless prompted.

The over-obsessed projection ones creep me out. The ones preoccupied with other's very specific types of crimes, devoting an inordinate amount of attention to condemning it, and trying to make clear how horrible it is.

And while it is, their projection is really transparent sometimes. The world is full of Jim Cunninghams, if you get that Donnie Darko reference.

It's really saying, "Please don't look at my hard drive and kiddie porn dungeon."

I think posts, news like this needs to be shared. Too much has been in the dark for too long.
You are right people don’t like to hear about those in religious positions because it’s too close to their world.
I personally know of a girl raped by a pastor. A friend of the family. She was 13.
