Why Trump can't be president

As a person that wants anybody but Trump or Biden as our President in 2024, for reasons I mentioned dozens of times already. Since DeSantis is tanking hard, pretty sure RFKjr is theonly one with a chance in hell

I can still understand those who still support Trump feeling like they do and discussing it here. He is being indicted every month it seems and he is in the news

However, why do those that support Biden or even the DNC give a damn one way or the other?

Your guy won and is extremely well set up to win again, who cares what somebody else thinks?

Biden secured 81 million votes last time.

NO way a potentially thrice indicted once convicted former President, wins the general election. It's not going to happen, hell his margin was razor-thin, to begin with.

Nobody motivates the DNC voter base like the threat of OMB, nobody fills their coffers with donations like the threat of OMB being re-elected as President. The Republicans nationally are disorganized AF and it's worse at the state level, and certainly won't support Trump like they grudgingly did at the 2016 or 2020 levels. the DNC is already banging the Biden drum hard

Not to mention not one thing in the favor of the Democrats has changed in any of those battleground states from 2020. Even if Trump wins the primaries and makes it to the general election He could easily lose 2 or 3 of the battleground states he won in 2020. No way he picks up the 3 to 4 states Biden won in 2020 Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia are the weakest and even those are pretty solid.

It's literally a race that the DNC would need multiple major screwups for the pendulum to swing the other way.

They have MSM support full of nothing but glowing accolades and softball questions. Trump will be preoccupied with so much there will be no chance to rally and pick up momentum or undecideds.

Can you imagine, losing thrice indicted OMB?

Only a severely weak and ineffective incumbent President would lose an election like this... true or false?

That answer should be something all sides should agree on.

How has trump got all these fanatical believing that he is the second coming? Because they are easily manipulated. Funny thing, he is not even religious, he is lying just to get them on his side! I think the left does fear his popularity. He still has a strong base. And I don't think Biden has a big base, it's mostly just people who don't want Trump elected.

I think the right also underestimates how many people really dislike Trump. It's not just far-left democrats. It's a lot of moderates too who got tired of all his BS.

We'd be much better off voting for someone who isn't Biden or Trump. People are sick of both of them.

As funny as Trump 2024 would be, it'd be a disaster. Trump's going to spend his whole time getting revenge on democrats, and democrats will do nothing but try to get him impeached again. Not to mention, both of them have a ton of baggage they're going to bring to the table.

And if Trump was actually the anti deep-state, anti-war, anti-corruption guy people make him out to be, I'd vote for him. But he had four years to prove that, and he did not.

But the real "threat to democracy" is the proof of the fraud in the 2020 elections.

I think Trump would dig as deep as he could looking for the proof that he was dicked out of the Presidency. can you imagine if that too was vindicated? The entire world has repeated the mantra often and frequently that to question the results of the 2020 election is lunacy. It was the most secure in the history of man. To make that many people who have gone on record look like total fools would be too much for many to accept.

He goes on and on (and on) about his support -- but he never had it in the first place. What he DID have was the electoral college. He lost the popular vote and his deep unpopularity can be confirmed by looking at the huge crowds that showed up to protest him on the day before his inauguration (and the photos are real -- I was there and took photos of my own and posted them here on ATS). The day of his inauguration the crowds were fairly thin.

By the time the 2024 elections come around, Trump will have been arrested 5 times at least, and be involved in multiple trials, all with no victims.

So far, he hasn't been arrested once.

As for victims, there are many - including the people of the United States who didn't want him in the first place and had to deal with his walking back our freedom and rights.

On the outside, it looks like by arresting him, they hope he will be overwhelmed and drop out of the race.

He wasn't arrested. He turned himself in.

But a deeper look shows that by making him a martyr, he will have a real good chance of getting the nomination for the GOP. So it's unclear at this point if getting him to be the challenger is the goal, or if trying to remove him is. But the one thing they cannot do, is let him win.

Darn tootin'. The majority of voters didn't want him in and his favorability rating is in decline

Too many lies have been told and there is too much to protect.

Many of us are tired of his lies. And his poor sportsmanship. And his constant complaints. At least one big donor's turned away from him (possibly in part because the "campaign contributions" are being funneled into a MAGA PAC that seems to exist solely to pay The Donald's legal fees.)

Note: I believe this may not be legal (or is at least in a gray area.)

I'd love for Tim Scott to get a chance, but unless there is major negative news JRB is highly likely to win

But this isn't the NFL and 10-15 potential teams if they get the breaks. This comes down to the battleground states

It's between Biden, Trump, DeSantis, and Kennedy Jr just can't see anybody else making enough noise here.

Forget everything else the Democrats learned last time they consolidated the moderates in their party and promised the progressive wing the moon and the stars.

The Republicans will never completely coalesce around Trump or DeSantis, and this isn't Bernie off some lead after a few states. Biden is the incumbent and the DNC has no choice but to ride with him.

But many different people like Trump for many different reasons. Not all of them are the same. Generalizing an entire group to that level is something we have collectively been working on not doing anymore. I hope you can do your part.

I don't think trump will even campaign; if the leaks from Mar A Largo mean anything.

I find it hard to believe that any father/mother can be happy about letting grown men in the same bathroom/gym shower with their daughters because that grown man is saying he is a woman trapped in a man’s body.
