It's the Back of the Plane it's lower to the ground.
actually it's a ladder well on the underside of the air craft.
The a@@ end is not lower. there are two fore and aft. he's going up the forward ladder well. see the seal under the cock pit.

That staircase is the one that is built in to the lower part of the aircraft fuselage (as opposed to an external staircase that is rolled up to the aircraft). I'm not sure why they used that one for ingress in this case. The aircraft was departing Helsinki and maybe they didn't have a proper sized rollup staircase for a 747 at that airport. The Secret Service probably had some reason for that particular choice
In any case, those built in staircases differ from a standard residential staircase in several respects. First, residential staircases have a relatively fixed relation between the horizontal and vertical spacing of the steps that is designed to accommodate older individuals who do not have the same range of motion as younger people. These built in staircases on aircraft are sometimes more like a ladder than a staircase. Second, it looks like the individual steps have rounded noses, which will facilitate slipping if the foot is not placed all the way onto the step. It looks to me like his stumble occurred when his foot slipped off the rounded nose of the step.
If your muscle memory is built on walking up and down residential staircases and you're suddenly confronted with something that doesn't fit that pattern, your probability of a mistake goes way up.

notice how he breaks into that phony "gallop" afterwards
he does this often every time
what does that mean?
I think he believes that that little jog will cover it up and no one will notice it's' more than just a casual stumble. Once, maybe, but he does it all the time. He likes to jog or at least used to , jog out to the microphone to give a speech. He maybe thinks he can prove is is not a doddering old man. Total fail.

And that commie-loving, socialist gimp of a president, FDR, had to be lifted onto planes and otherwise moved around in a wheel chair. Yet somehow he led the US to victory during WWII and got us out of the Great Depression.
Not that I am for Biden in 2024. Anything but. He is too old as it is. But making a big deal out of a shorter airplane stairway for him is nonsense.
You Trump lovers apparently had no problem with Trump's staff dumbing down his briefings, putting a lot of pictures in them and talking about him in them as well in order to keep his interest. As far as I know, Biden is receiving the more conventional briefings.

He is the President of the US, we are basically at war if anything happens to Dumb then we have Dumber "running things"
Not to mention what a heavy and useless double side order of Trump whataboutism.

Not invested so much as just sick of the insidious agenda that's reeking havoc around the world.
This is probably the most condensed, conspiratorial flap of our lives. What's your alternative? Can you dig us all a hole we can stick our heads in too?
This is merely a facet of ATS, not an overall representation. However, as long as the brunt of our bane is politically derived, that might be popular around here considering the amount of free minded members.
Plenty of other forums to visit and contribute to.

You make it sound as if you were there for the briefings. Please provide proof of this "dumbing down" or you're being dishonest.

The topic of this thread is Biden apparently requiring a special stairway to get onto planes, so it seems a comparison to FDR and his physical handicap is quite germane to the subject. I'm not comparing their presidencies. JFK's physical infirmities weren't as obvious or known, and honestly he didn't come to mind. I took the obvious case of FDR to show that physical fitness isn't the best measure of a president.
As for your claim of whataboutism involving Trump. It seems if people are concerned about Biden's physical soundness and possibly his mental acuity as well, they ought to sure as poo be concerned about Trumps mental and intellectual fitness as president as well. If they don't, they clearly have a double standard in how they judge political leaders.
Don't know about you, but I generally only accuse someone of whataboutism if the whatabout matter is the only thing the person brings up. You chose to blow past my point about the physical infirmity of one of our great presidents, and why criticizing a president on the basis of their physical mobility isn't a good measure of the person as a leader. That's on you, not me.
