President Biden is Using a Shorter Stairway to Climb Aboard Air Force One.

Since this post is about a politician, but not political in nature, we're making this thread in the "ABOVE POLITICS" forum.

It was reported that President Joe Biden is now taking "shorter" stairs to climb aboard Air Force One.

Here is a video of him doing just that, today...

QUESTIONS

Maybe the plane was lowered to the ground somehow?

Maybe President Biden is now flying Air Force 2 or 3?

Maybe just an Optical Illusion?

Why would he choose a shorter staircase to begin with?

He only trips on the stairs a few times @ year, which is normal for an 80 year old with multiple medical conditions. The shorter staircase makes him look more "feeble" and "fearful". Not a good image for the leader of the United States of America, is it?

I think there is an elevator to get to the regular floor of the plane. The one where his office is. If not, he can rest between stairs.

As far as Air Force 2 or 3 goes, any American Air Force aircraft with the president abord is Air Force 1. Be it a 747 or dc3 it is just the aircraft call sign and not the plane name.

Biden gonna fall down go boom and someone will laugh her way into the oval office.

Walks up a small set of stairs in public outside of the plane and then another set of stairs are hidden within the plane, out of public view.

MSNBC hosts say those who are supposed to protect Joe Biden and his "image", are doing a horrible job.

That staircase is the one that is built in to the lower part of the aircraft fuselage (as opposed to an external staircase that is rolled up to the aircraft). I'm not sure why they used that one for ingress in this case. The aircraft was departing Helsinki and maybe they didn't have a proper sized rollup staircase for a 747 at that airport. The Secret Service probably had some reason for that particular choice

In any case, those built in staircases differ from a standard residential staircase in several respects. First, residential staircases have a relatively fixed relation between the horizontal and vertical spacing of the steps that is designed to accommodate older individuals who do not have the same range of motion as younger people. These built in staircases on aircraft are sometimes more like a ladder than a staircase. Second, it looks like the individual steps have rounded noses, which will facilitate slipping if the foot is not placed all the way onto the step. It looks to me like his stumble occurred when his foot slipped off the rounded nose of the step.

If your muscle memory is built on walking up and down residential staircases and you're suddenly confronted with something that doesn't fit that pattern, your probability of a mistake goes way up.

I think he believes that that little jog will cover it up and no one will notice it's' more than just a casual stumble. Once, maybe, but he does it all the time. He likes to jog or at least used to , jog out to the microphone to give a speech. He maybe thinks he can prove is is not a doddering old man. Total fail.

actually it's a ladder well on the underside of the air craft. the a@@ end is not lower. there are two fore and aft. he's going up the foreward ladder well. see the seal under the cock pit.

I think his mind will go before his body does. Today, Biden got mad at a reporter from Finland and told her she might not make it home tonight.

I hope at least his MIND remains cognizant enough to stand trial for treason in 2025.
