Dems Losing Their Minds

What happened to racial equality? I thought that is what the Dems are all about, is making sure that all races are treated fairly and equally?

Now they want judges to hand out lighter sentences based on your race to "rectify racial imbalance"

I fail to see how this will help at all, if anything it is just going to make things worse for everyone involved. Almost like they don't care what happens to California citizens, of all races and backgrounds.

EDIT: Yes, I am aware that the title is very redundant. I am well aware most of them, if not all, lost their minds a long time ago.

Heh why did I know this would be California, the place I can’t call home any longer. It sure doesn’t feel like a ‘home’, even though I’ve lived in the same spot my whole life.

I think it's been proven repeatedly that minorities do not get treated the same in the courts. Usually with higher convictions and tougher sentencing. Everyone should be treated the same under the law. The reality is that they are not. It would seem that this bill is trying to rectify that.

If they were trying to rectify anything it wouldn't be a bill to, essentially, give leniency to minorities.

If they truly wanted equality they would pass a bill that says they can't pass sentences based on race. But, they don't want equality. They want to get those, that they are trying to get leniency for, to vote for them so they can keep the state blue.

I can understand your dislike of the bill. Certainly I think it would of been better to enact some sort of reform. Maybe training for judges to make them aware of how minorities are treated more harshly by the courts. That way when sentencing Judges can apply similar sentencing to everyone.

Same here. They want lighter sentences to the race committing more crimes just like they continue to dumb down education standards because no matter what they do, they can't get enough good grades from minorities without changing grades. They say it's not fair.

Certain crimes have mandatory sentencing. In many cases minorities are the ones that commit these crimes, thus longer sentences. What is never mentioned is the role of the Democrats in making the laws that require these mandatory sentences especially in Southern States. In the 90's Biden was at the forefront of this. As a Prosecutor, Harris was known for requesting maximum sentences.

if by rectify, you mean the polar opposite of what you just theorized, then yes.

Rather than be a good boot licker, why not present some data to prove this is an issue and not just say it is.
