One in five Americans say they're willing to eat insects.
Probably as an appetizer before the double cheeseburger with fries and the large cola.

DO NOT EAT INSECTS!!
Five Reasons Not To
1. Chitin--although there are conflicting reports on this compound found in some insects, some believe we would have difficulty processing it, and that it would have adverse effects on our immune system. Plus it would be next to impossible to remove in processing
2. Bacteria--Insects are not clean. They are carriers of bacteria and spreaders of certain diseases.
3. Allergy Prone--if you are allergic to shellfish, don't eat bugs, you shouldn't even handle certain types
4. Insect Farming-- genetically modified insects will no doubt be used to grow them bigger and reproduce faster, no doubt these will be hard to contain and will in all reality mix in the wild to potential catastrophic affect
5. We Don't Need To-- we have the technology, land, and resources to nourish all of us, imagine if we put the same budget for war as we do for food we would never have food problems.

I don't see how suggesting differn't avenues to address hunger and resources is "woke nonsense". If insects are healthy for us, why not give it a go? Furthermore, if one wants to address the many issues of mass produces livestock, why not consider eating much more veggies? Plenty of protein there as well..
