Good morning randomuser. Hope you and family are well. I was recently listening to a Rabbi talk about the incompatibility of Christianity with
Judaism, especially in relation to the christian doctrine of the Trinity. The Rabbi did say that JW's were less objectionable to Judiasm than
mainstream Christianity. That JW's also believe in the one true God. In light of that, I agree with your point that Christians, especially JW's, can
certainly use the Hebrew Bible for additional inspiration.
resurrection of the dead, something that would not be necessary if the soul was immortal
Jesus in John 2:19 said “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”. When the body dies some believe the soul remains
unattached, but with the body, to witness the first death. This is part of Jewish tradition called Shemira. After three days the soul enters a new
body (temple). Which causes us to witness the second death from that self (aka soul) when it again enters a state of slumber (entrapped within a new
ego-mind). Our soul will remain in slumber unless we awaken and are born into it before our current material body dies. The soul is Gods witness to
all things. We be His eye.
