I remember a cartoon in Punch - two Daleks in front of a flight of stairs. "Well, that certainly buggers up our plan to conquer the Universe".

Strange stuff... maybe right up my alley.

Thanks

Been thinking about this a long time.

Its not the interior that is big.
it is the exterior that is small!

The Space around the craft is being
distorted around the craft.

I thing its part of whaterver makes it move in space.
Faster than light! it distortes space.
so it will not go faster than light.
but compress space. so it will seem to disappear.

Trouble is, maneuvering or braking at near relativistic speeds without some form of inertial dampening is going to turn any occupants of said starship into strawberry jam?

Said occupants and craft that is maneuvering or braking at near relativistic speeds, should not suffer any ill effects or breakdowns, when said craft is surrounded by a magnetic field that mimics no rest mass.

Yes, start with the new Dr.who from 2005

the original ended in 1989 and wasn't my cup of tea. the reboot started in2005 And I believe is still ongoing. I sure its on Prime and others. But may not be free on prime.

You will fall in love with Billie Piper who plays Rose the Drs first companion of the remake. she is awesome!

give it a few episodes to grow on you. maybe you will get hooked.

We'll see, I'm not sure when I'll have time, but I'll wait until I have enough time to binge at least 4 or 5 episodes.

I've made a note to come back and let you know how it goes...

As magnetic shield sounds all Sci fi but in reality would do nothing. What you would need is something to off set the mass of the craft and its occupants. In other words negative mass. Since this is only theoretical we don't even know if such a thing exists.

If it does however all effects of gravity could be negated and our aliens can come to a stop without dying. The shielding would also have to be adaptive as it will collect particles as it travels and I'm not even going to go into all the trouble that causes.
