Seems you're the only one who believes that, along with Laurence Tribe.....

Federal prosecutors admitted in a court filing last week that there had been "a slightly longer than anticipated timeframe" in the case, and stated their support for a short extension in the case. However, Smith's office adamantly opposed a delay to the entire pre-trial schedule.

Details of Jennifer Little's testimony to investigators has been revealed. She told them that she warned Trump if she signed the attestation that all documents had been turned over and more documents were found that he would be breaking the law. She also told them that he seemed to absolutely understand what she was telling him.

Judge Aileen Cannon is not moving fast enough to please liberals who want candidate Donald Trump found guilty of at least one Federal Crime before the November 2024 Presidential election.

They feel this Mar-a-largo "documents case" is the one that has the best chance of making Donald Trump a convicted felon, damaging his chances of being elected President again.

But at her present pace of issuing orders and pre-trial decisions, it's likely the trial of Donald Trump will not be held until after November 2024.

Naturally, newly elected President Trump would have his Attorney General stop the prosecution, thereby cancelling the trial all-together.

This prospect is making LIBERALS LIVID! (I Love it! 🥳)

After Smith's motion, Cannon has ruled that Nauta and DeOliveira will not have access to the classified documents as part of discovery. She has also indicated a similar ruling would be forthcoming for Trump.

Good.

As it should have been in the first place.

No need to clog up one's mind with all the classified info. Only that which is relevant to the case needs to be shared.

It was pretty clear to me there was no way to cover up the illegal stash of docs. Trump's a big deal, always in the spotlight, so naturally, loads of people are snooping around. He should have either done a better job hiding those illegal docs, or not lied about it. His fibbing, followed by telling the truth when he got caught, only made things worse for him.

NONE of these Alleged " Documents " in Mr. Trumps Possession are Illegal . As POTUS , he has the Authority to Declassify ANY Document he Deems worthy of Releasing to the Public other than Sensitive State Secrets which are Not Involved in this Case .

There were documents on the US' nuclear arsenal. Do you not consider that to be sensitive state secrets?

It's listed in the indictment. Specifically, it's count 19.

And there's the ruling denying Trump's access to the documents.

Did the 11th Circuit have a sit down with Cannon and tell her they would embarrass her again if the DOJ filed an appeal?

Correction. This is denying Trump access to the DOJ's CIPA Section 4 filings.

So, the person who is accused of having the documents as well as his lawyers cannot see the evidence they are supposed to defend their client from but they can bring it up during trial.

Seems fair.

Amazing how this did not happen with Biden. Just given a pass and at NO time was he ever allowed in his capacity to deem things unclassified.

This trial is a complete joke. Again.

If they had real evidence it would have already been leaked...that is a fact.

How does knowing the exact contents of the documents change his defense? Does it really matter if he doesn't know whether the document detailing a possible invasion plan is about Iran or Saudi Arabia? Does his defense drastically change if the document about a foreign nation's nuclear capabilities is about Israel instead of South Africa?

They found thousands of pages of classified documents at MAL after he was subpoenaed to turn them all over. There's no denying those facts. This case doesn't hinge on the contents of the documents, which the lawyers do have access to. It hinges on the nebulous part of the law that is focused on Presidential authority.

No this is clearly only a crime worthy when it involves bad man orange. It shouldn't be but since they have let all the others walk Trump should too. I know you're saying he lied and fought to return them, so did Hillary and she walked.

I've said it many times. Trump would've been fine if he had turned over the documents the first time they asked. He would've been fine if he turned them over the 20th time they asked.

It stopped being fine when he had to be subpoenaed and instead of turning everything over then he hid documents from investigators and attempted to destroy evidence.

That's when prosecutors could no longer ignore the fact that Trump was willfully retaining classified documents.

The former President does not need to follow the Presidential Records Act?

Presidential Records Act - States that the United States shall reserve and retain complete ownership, possession, and control of all Presidential records.

Therefore if the government requests them back, then subpoenaed them back, and then were obstructed from getting them back, and the former guy conspired to hide them from the rightful ownership of the government, that is just ok, because laws don't apply to former Presidents?
