The Russian Volunteer Corps have released a video on Telegram showing 2 captured Russian troops and presented their offer to exchange the captives for a meeting with the governor of the Belgorod region.

"Today until 5pm (local time), you have the opportunity to communicate without weapons and take home two Russian citizens, ordinary soldiers whom you and your political leadership sent to the slaughter," read a joint statement by RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion.

The governor's response was this.

"Most likely they killed them, as hard as it is for me to say. But if they are alive, from 5pm to 6pm - Shebekino checkpoint. I guarantee safety," governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

I saw that too, there is another video showing 10 captured Russians and 1 injured. Pretty amazing the Belgorod Governor didn't show up, but he did make a statement that residents of border districts may want to evacuate. Is Russia is about to bomb itself again.

The governor also said earlier that fighting with a "Ukrainian saboteur group" was taking place in the town of Novaya Tavolzhanka, near the Ukrainian border.

It won't come as any great surprise to many, but these "Freedom of Russia" groups amount to bunch of Nazis (as noted in even western media) which is unfortunately becoming popular again in parts of Europe. One of them led by an openly Nazi ex soccer hooligan turned entrepreneur. Quite fitting for a nation whose utterly corrupt politics and military are lousy with them. It's doubtful how many of them are actually Russian to begin with, but their publicity stunts or "raids" have only managed to terrorise civilians in a few villages while getting a lot of them KiA.

These raids must have the nation who successfully withstood Operation Barbarossa quaking in their boots. It seems that extreme Russophobia is one of many similarities the west (or at least its leaders) has with Nazism.

This is quite consistent with the way the US enlists extremists amongst its proxy forces. As with their failed regime change operation in Syria (thanks largely to Russia) where the place flooded with extremist groups from all over the middle east, who the US funded and passed off as Syrian rebels or "freedom fighters". It's terrorists one day, freedom fighters the next.

You'd think after 9/11 that US neocons would have learned their lesson regarding forming and enlisting extremist groups to help them. Apparently not.
