It's just dishonest to put all the blame on palestinian extremists (hamas). Israel also recieves billions in funding and has far more power in the situation to make change.

Many here need to understand that the Middle East as a whole is a much different place from what we see as correct. Israel is in the ME and though not as extreme as other Muslim countries over there they are still well beyond what we would see as correct. Extremists launch 100s of small rockets in a show of terror and Isrial doesn't play around and goes in and kills them. Neither side plays by some US-level rules of engagement.

One foot to the East is Jordan which was made during the same time as Israel by France and England, but one foot to the east in a huge country is not Palestine too, why is that? Palestine is west..deeper into Israel which is a very small country to begin with. There are like 5+ muslin countries that could help them, but they don't and just like to sit back and watch the show as Iran supplies the Palestinian extremists all the hardware they want, BTW their motto is "A good Jew is a Dead Jew", so there is no compromise there or workable situation.

We also need to remember that the West Bank was once controlled by Egypt and they just walled it off preventing any from going into Egypt and no one had issues with that... In the end, lots of players here, and Isrial is stuck in the middle no matter what they do.

In a 1984ish clown world not that surprising. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength. They, the "transformers", simply turn everything upside down since at least 2020. Pro democracy protests are colored Nazi by them and their propaganda MSM. Everybody who isn´t in line with the transformers is an enemy for them. Burning coal is now the clean solution to reduce CO2 emissions while nuclear power plants are the "climate killer" somehow here in Idiocracy-Germany. Offenders are activists and real activists are offenders (of course right-wing, Nazi etc). They tell us we have to care about an US "journalist" who got arrested in Russia while Assange, Snowden...

We must be very careful that they don´t turn days into night and vice versa, if it only fits their agenda. Then they simply will tell us that it´s pitch black night in broad daylight. And if you don´t agree... Nazi!

Everything you wrote here is utterly ridiculous, the next thing you will say is they will tell us men can be women...

Which is understandable , as far as I'm aware Nazi symbols aren't allowed in Europe so Germany isn't alone there but Roger has displayed

Nothing happened to the little German princeling who wore one though, so your ignorant of your own royals doings?

Or do you condone that behaviour in reality and only make noise like a rock in a tincan?

The German language would be banned if some had their way with it.

Illegally displaying Nazi symbols in Germany can be punished by three years in jail. The ban broadly exempts art, but which works are allowed to show swastikas, SS sig runes and such is often more a matter of the medium.

www.dw.com...

Are Germans that deeply Nazi that they must distance themselves violently from addressing their demons? I can think of at least one who fits that shoe.

considering the"palestinians" are nothing but unwanted refugees from all the surrounding countries who refuse to take them back, along with the "stolen land" thats pretty funny.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned or noticed "The collateral murder" (with explicit text description) video being displayed on Roger's large visual screens. My opinion is that this is one of the main reason he or his show is being suppressed .

PS. Kinda new around here with an account. 'kinda' cause I'm browsing this great forum for a couple of years. Now that there is not a single social account active left for me, I thought I'll join you into conversations here. Cheers.

Seen one of their previous The Wall sets and it's one of the best shows I've ever been to. The Australian Pink Floyd version is also well worth it and impossile to tell any difference.

All the videos and symbyology is spreading an anti-authoritarian message showing how teaching people to follow orders and authoritarianism happens in school and results in war and attrocities like the holocaust (pretty sure the cartoon soldiers in the videos are meant to be russian and german.

It's all a very anti-nazi and anti authoritarian/totalitarian but I think Germany have incredibly strict laws where such symbols can't be displayed even when the art is designed to show how evil they are.

Well some laws are... for instance, Jews can not own property....Germans must not marry Jews...Jews cannot mix with Germans in normal schools,,,,all authoritarian.

And that is what you equate with the whatshisname of the OP being not allowed to wear Nazi outfits/symbols on stage? These are things of the same magnitude for you?

It would a lot easier for you if you’d just come out of the statist closet.

I think of censorship like this: If you want to come into my house, I don't want to control you, however there are various (fairly obvious) things that are not allowed. If a person commits those obvious affronts, they are to leave the property. Not negotiable.

If I want to enter a person's home, I am cognizant of the various normal human behaviors which I assume are unwelcome, such as breaking things for no reason, or walking around naked. If I go to a place that specifically is for the purpose of walking around naked, then I don't have the right to object to the nudity.

Waters has always been an odd duck, but I've never held that against him. I didn't care for his arrogance, particularly when engaged with other band members. Not my problem, just an observation.

Anyone I go to see in concert who chooses to wear a Nazi-like uniform and Nazi-like firearm, I will object to and never go to their concert again. That is the extent to which I think responses should be, if offended. He can wear his little uniform wherever he wants, that should be his right, and we have the right to choose to not support him.

I have to wonder why a person would wear such a thing. It seems a far stretch to me to construe that as a demonstration of support FOR anyone. Same goes for those who choose to wear swastikas. Yes, I know that symbol is ancient and was co-opted by the Nazis, but knowing that doesn't excuse the impression it makes in modern times.

Within the system of government in which I live, I support Waters' right to wear whatever he wants, and I support the right of the concert promoters to reject it. Freedom of speech works both ways. Rogers is unwelcome in that venue, and presumably not just if he wears the uniform, but for some time, because he has demonstrated that he likes firing people up. A concert, with people jammed together, is the wrong place to make such a visceral statement. You want to make such a statement Mr. Waters, do it on your own website, where nobody gets hurt for your foolishness.

Waters was good once. Real good. I was not sorry when he left Pink Floyd.

The garb was to mock, a mockery of fascism. A mocking political statement aimed at fascist regimes.

Yeah I get that. Still a pass from me. Tell me about the yellow stars on pigs. Maybe we should all "mock" the President by wearing white wigs and Stormtrooper garb. No! Wait! Maybe KKK robes! That would be some genuine 'mockery'.

If Waters had started a riot and people were hurt, I would hold him 100% culpable. ... .... not that anyone would ever ask me what I think.

They have strict laws about glorifying Nazis in Germany. That is their right and perogative based on their....you know, history of having Nazis destroy their country and murder millions.

He's referencing Hitler's distaste for Modernism and the art the accompanied it. Hitler also did an exhibition of "Deviant" art. Weird of him to do and weird of the OP to reference something like this while at they same time lauding a person's implied right to dress like a Nazi...which they don't like people doing in Germany.

As far as I am aware he is in the business of denigrating Nazis rather than glorifying them. (his own dad was killed by them at Monte Cassino in Italy)

I dont think anyone could successfully argue that he is not a zealot.

His message in this case is an important one (as is the method of delivery)

I certainly dont think its worth 4 months of the German police's time to try and arrest him, there are much better things they could be doing surely?

I think you are right and its probably the main reason that all the German Jewish groups are calling for his shows to be banned
