Maybe the duplicity and commonality between these belief systems is Satan’s complex version of a body double.

Reacting to situations on the basis of pride

It was Satan who first allowed an overestimation of self to corrupt his heart. (Compare Ezekiel 28:17; Proverbs 16:5.) Pride is a divisive force in the world of which he is ruler, causing people to consider themselves better than those of other races, nations, language groups, and economic status. ...

Manifesting a rebellious attitude toward authority

Rebellion began with Satan, whose name means “Resister.” By his defiance of Jehovah, Nimrod, whose name may mean “Let Us Rebel,” demonstrated that he was a child of Satan. Keep in mind, that the word "spirit" can refer to a spirit person/being or a mental attitude, such as in the phrase 'getting into the spirit of something'. Compare the phrase, “the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience”, at Eph 2:2 with the paragraph about this manisfestation of the spirit of the world: "Doing what a person wants to do, without regard for the will of God". Same idea. The spirit person/being known as Satan the Devil, promotes this spirit/attitude of disobedience (to God's will and commandments). And this promotion, this impelling force that influences human society made up of those who are not obedient to God, causing such people to say and do things according to a characteristic pattern, is so pervasive in this system of things, that it is like the air that humans breathe (making Satan “the ruler of the authority of the air” as he is also “the ruler of the world” and “god of this system of things”, John 14:30;2Cor 4:4). Which is also why the apostle Paul warned:

“And stop being molded by this system of things, but be transformed by making your mind over, so that you may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

A response to Dalamax's comment may be a little easier if you make a distinction between intelligence and wisdom. Those who confuse the 2, or are under the impression that intelligence guarantees wisdom (or are inseparable, or more or less the same thing), have a tendency to only become "wise in their own eyes" (i.e. so not really wise, they only think they are, compare Isaiah 5:20, 21). Especially if they also think they can skip or ignore the first step towards acquiring wisdom, as described at Proverbs 9:10:

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom,

And knowledge of the Most Holy One is understanding.

No matter how intelligent a person is, that does not automatically mean he/she will also be or become wise. True wisdom has another prior (or first) requirement (or step to take, for wisdom to begin to develop). A higher intelligence (IQ), when combined with inordinate pride*, can actually be hampering that process, if you let it.

*: pride is discussed in my previous comment when addressing various manifestations of the spirit of the world.

I just like how the Christian radio stations say they are actively engaged in war with the prince of the power of the air, because it is true.

I also agree with ATS members pointing out the pathetic techniques, emphasis on technology, that mere devils need to rape humans on many levels just to get people to commit crimes against each other, and ultimately sin against our Creator. Also, disrespecting Mother is worse than murder.

I like the internet better when it was called Akasha. And, consider the Breath of Life. Amniotic fluid. Etcetera.

I just perused the “Remembering the end of the world” vid. and it reminded me of one I saw about John’s vision in Revelation.

All the constellations lined up to tell the Gospel and some of the happenings around that time.

Ever wondered about the relationship between the two? Why wouldn't God look at his angels as his children? Why would he create us as his children yet angels, his first made, probably would have more right to this title. It seems his children are given compassion but angels don't really have an option.

People say it's because we were made differently. Angels already had knowledge of good and evil so they have no excuse. I have a lot of questions about this specifically. It's an interesting subject.

What are angels in the eyes of God and why aren't they privy to grace?

I waa always under the impression that angels are administrators and messengers, kind of right hand ‘men’, used so the power and majesty of GOD’s presence doesn’t obliterate our puny forms/minds when interacting with us.

That's where I thought the title "Lord of the Air" came from. Like Mercury/Hermes the messenger. In the Bible's instance, it would be satan's title as he always seemed to pour through people's faults. As one person mentioned, the prosecutor, if you will.

When I hear, "We are not alone" this is what comes to mind. The spiritual, not the physical. Physical seems far too impossible, aliens from billions of lightyears away. But spiritual, not so much. Spiritual exceeds time and space in every way.

Physical just seems impossible because of our limited perspective. Consider how little of ‘reality’ we are actually capable of being aware of.

They are called benehʹ ha·ʼElo·himʹ, “sons of God” (KJ); “sons of the true God” (NW), at Genesis 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1.
