They investigated him because he raised a lot of money on blatant lies. Not to mention there's still questions surrounding the massive windfall of money he received shortly before his campaign.

When Hunter Biden is running for office then I'll care about his integrity.

He had been caught in lie after lie. Many of which were told to get elected. His own district wants him removed from office.

These are facts that exist outside of the judicial system. Once again, the GOP don't care about integrity as long as they have the votes they need.

Be honest with yourself and others.

This integrity issue knows no sides.

But the justice system does.

As a Republican? I say, good!
I hope they grill him!

I don't know what the other ("Democrat" maybe?) option was in this queers "election".

But this "Rep. Santos" joker definitely ain't a "Republican", or an "American".

Most of us real Americans, have standards.

Correct. Santos is needed for his VOTE. That's how politics works. Minorities are pandered to by politicians in election years for the same reason...for their VOTES.

Indictments are always kept under seal until the indicted appears for arraignment.

You just described every Democrat alive and dead.
Yet you still support them.

Can a man without morals be expected to ever do the moral thing?

'Morals' and 'politicians' is the best example of oxymoron I've ever seen. Comedy gold, that remark!

Why hasn't he been censured? Why hasn't he been removed from his committees? Why hasn't he been expelled?

Because the GOP need him, integrity be damned. For example, without Santos the GOP no longer have the votes for their debt ceiling bill.

He was removed from his committee assignment a while ago actually.

----

Incidentally, although senate vacancies can be filled by a governor, the Constitution mandates that House vacancies must be filled by an election. So, if Santos resigns, either there will be a special election to replace him or the seat will just stay vacant until the 2024 elections.

Perfect. Dems can then rig the votes as usual and get a dem in there

George Santos, the face of the republican party.

It’s truly comedy now.

Anyone watch the date line with Nicolas Alahverdian? Maybe George can fake his death too. Nah, he doesn’t need to, he’ll continue to be embraced by people who like being lied to. Send your money NOW he’s gonna need some lawyers and such LOL.

That's a lot more charges than I expected. I don't see how he has any option but to resign/McCarthy expels him.

Oh wow
So charges alone now are enough to make someone step down?
He only serves 2 years, the case won’t even go to trial before his elected seat is up for reelection.

Interesting

it looks like, based on the indictment, he was moving money around when he should not and mixing bank accounts with campaign funds. Where he really messed up was taking money for CARES and UI funds.

However, I do not see anything here that a lot of others are found to do and they usually get a fine. Most Progressives are smart enough to at least use nepotism and keep it in the family.

The charges however, to me, do not affect how he would vote or who he is there for. He just sounds like another greedy politician who is not versed on moving money.

Politicians who get to a certain level become protected and do the illegal legally. this is why they will 'run for office' knowing they will not win and raise that money to be 'paid' to their consultants that kicks back to them.

This guy is a weirdo but, they all lie except for maybe Rand Paul
