Every adult - and I mean every one of them - associated with pushing sex onto children should be indicted and jailed for child abuse and paedophilia. It's not the fault of the kids.
I am not as obsessed with what other people's kids are exposed too as some on this message board.

Yeah, unfortunately this has been happening in classrooms (and families) for decades. One out of three children is sexually abused. This is nothing new. The tools to record and report widely, however, are. Thankfully we now shine a light on it and maybe can now address how to address it.

“The book in question is called This Book is Gay. It teaches the children how to have sexual relations with members of the same gender and has graphic illustrations,” Butler wrote. “This book also goes into detail about how to get on adult hookup sites for one night stands. This book also gives arguments on Christian and Muslim beliefs and how to argue in favor of engaging in sexual relationships. I wanted you to be aware of what your children are learning especially at Edsel Ford, which seems to be the worst school of all in allowing material of this nature into the reach of our children.”
I remember in the early 70's being bullied right in the classroom. Actually punched in the jaw and the teacher never knew. I really feel terrible for this girl and agree about kids this young with pads, phones, ect.

I think that maybe we can give the teacher a pass on this to some extent.
I mean if you had been that teacher and given how young they are, don't you think it is reasonable to assume that something like that would never happen?
Also the article does say the teacher was busy helping other kids.
Just saying
Back when I was in elementary there wouldn't be any *of that* going on without the teacher noticing, they always kept order in the classroom and certainly no i-pads, to record pron with.
Maybe at recess I could see it, but....yea, just...
The parents and society take the biggest share of blame, but, I'm not sure I could figure out how to quantize all of that.

Kids don't need Ipads in elementary school.
This blow my mind still. When I was in school, I had literal NOVELS taken away from me in English. How in hell can they have phones? This should be banned from ALL school grounds, students and teachers alike.
The boys forced the girl to perform a sex act and your takeaway was they shouldn't have Ipads in school?
Kids can't be isolated from the world of technology; they need to learn how to use our modern devices SAFELY with ADULT SUPERVISION.
My takeaway? If kids are under a desk long enough for a sex act to take place there must not be adequate supervision.

As a human being, I am.
As a mother, I am.
These children will grow up and rule the world. There's nothing like childhood sexual abuse to halt emotional development and mess up a fragile mind-sometimes for a lifetime.
I don't throw my hat in the ring for very many fights/causes but child abuse in ANY form-no matter whether it's my child or a strangers-is one instance that brings out the pit bull in me. I'm willing to die on this hill.

Still though. All children public or private should be protected from any harm while in the custody of any teacher.

The teachers union official dismissed parent's efforts as motives to 'promote fascism, exclusion, and ignorance' and urged union members to not engage with parents
A New York parent spoke with Fox News Digital on Thursday about emails that show a teachers union president criticizing parents who protested books at school board meetings, dismissing the efforts as motives to "promote fascism, exclusion, and ignorance."
