I was looking to see if I can find that book on the internet archive. I did not, so when I go to the library in person I am going to see if I can get it. When I was on the internet archive I found this trove of FBI FOIA documents on cattle mutilation. It's not much, but it is more info so I'm just going to post the link here so I can find it later.

I've missed these types of threads here. Good theories put forth. I'm doubtful we will see the true reason in my lifetime, but you never know.

I show the below to make a point that humans do eat parts, others would not fathom or get a mental grip, could be eaten by other humans.

An Anus is an Anus by any other name…..

Imagine the amount of farts and feces through the beef rectum and yet it makes a great sandwich for some.

There are Folks finding it disgusting …and that only Aliens would eat that stuff……and there are Humans that eat that stuff as “Delicacies”, either regularly or on special occasions.

With no solid proof either way…..I would err first it’s Human’s, than Aliens …imo.

Wow I have never heard of that before. It sounds totally gross but somehow I am kind of interested to know if it's as good as they make it seem. I've heard of eating brains and organs before as a delicacy but not anus.

Maybe it's kind of like poachers, cutting out anuses to steal them and make sandwiches. It's on the list of possibilities now. Only partially kidding.

If humans have a hankering for certain delicacies…..why deal with the whole animal? It makes sense just to cut out the delicacy parts…..Poachers could specialize in that….I suspect.

Google search cow eyeball or beef eyeball soup…..yeah ….humans like that too! “Here’s looking at you” 😉

Not sure if this document has been mentioned yet.

I was just reading the areas around the eyes and the rectal area tissue are useful for prion detection in animals.

In addition…….often heard is that blood is missing from some of the animals.

I would think draining blood may be the first step prior to removing parts (just like a slaughter house)….it’s less bloody messy that way. Cleaner cutting, without blood spurting or drainage from the cutting site.

So then where’s all the blood?

Blood as food

That is a pretty good resource! A lot of info about the mutilations, unmarked helicopters (even mentioning vans with trailers attached seen at some mutilation sites) and UFOs. They include the helicopter involvement in the Cash/Landrum case which has always intrigued me. What I found interesting also was the story from the helicopter pilot at Fort Hood who says they got a "special alert" and were told to go to a location where they would see an unusual craft and try to force it to land by covering it and making it stay at lower altitudes and when they did encounter the aircraft and force it down, it started emitting sparks. Then when they got debriefed about the incident were told it was an experimental craft.

Kind of funny part are the letters between Mrs. Sparks and the FAA where she writes that if unlighted helicopters spotlight her cattle again, she won't hesitate to shoot at them.

Six cattle died mysteriously in Texas, with their tongues removed, the hide around one side of their mouths gone and no blood spilled, authorities said this week.

The cause of death for the six animals was unknown, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Wednesday.

www.nbcnews.com...

The grass around the bodies of all six animals was undisturbed, with no signs of struggle and no footprints or tire tracks found, the sheriff’s office said.

“Ranchers also reported that no predators or birds would scavenge the remains of the cow, leaving it to decay untouched for several weeks,” the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff's office noted that similar incidents have been reported across the United States and it was coordinating with other law enforcement agencies.

According to the article these cows were found along the highway in 3 separate counties and all animals were from different herds and pastures. 5 adults and 1 yearling and in two cases the genitalia and anus were removed with circular precision cuts matching the precision cuts on the cows' jawline.

I don't know what to make of cattle mutilation. Is it scavengers? Aliens? You decide.

What do you think it is?
If it's scavengers there would signs of them all over the place. If there are precision cuts then these are not scavengers.

If I had to suspect Aliens…I would rather know this……from domesticated animal livestock

….then to see Human Delicacies on the menu from domesticated human livestock

Then why not just visit an abattoir, or if you want to go undetected purchase the animals as a wholesaler.

There are way easier and cheaper means for an agency to test livestock, aside from the question of why it would need to be secret anyway.

The only way it makes sense for this to be purely a Govt sponsored activity is if it is to perpetuate a meme (for whatever reason).

No.

Delicacies are usually a tribute to times of starvation and oppression.

H ere we are.

Why go to the extreme to cut out the certain cuts when the local butcher shop will gladly give you the anus and tongue almost free. Sweetbreads anyone? Those are dirt cheap, yet a delicacy in European counties. Sautéed in butter with a steaming sizzle of white wine, and served on a layer of tomato sauce.

I don't know what the cause of these latest cattle mutilations are in Texas.

But the subject has been around a long time and occurs primarily in the United States. India has the world's largest cattle population [125m+] and yet there are very few cases there.

Cattle mutilations appeared to peak in the 1970s. Resulting in the FBI commissioning a study dubbed “Operation Animal Mutilation” in 1979. Later becoming “The Rommel Report” as FBI agent Kenneth Rommel headed up the investigations. Specifically looking at cases in New Mexico.

He concluded

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

During the past five years, hundreds of livestock mutilations have been reported throughout the United States. Of the states affected by this phenomenon, New Mexico has certainly had its share of unusual incidents.

Since 1975, over 100 mutilations have been reported throughout the state. Ninety mutilations were reported prior to Operation Animal Mutilation. Another 27 incidents were investigated under this year-long project, which began May 28, 1979. Twenty-five of these cases were reported as mutilations. In each of these 25 incidents, as I have shown ... the rough jagged nature of the incisions together with the evidence at the scene clearly indicates that the carcass was damaged by predators and/or scavengers. In most cases, the animal had died first of natural causes...

Rommel Report Conclusions

Unusually for Bigelow, his NIDS group also released their own public report in 2002

Unexplained Cattle Deaths and the Emergence of a Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy Epidemic in North America

it contradicts the Rommel Report

Overall, the evidence suggests that animal mutilations are a long-term, covert, prion disease sampling operation by unknown perpetrators who are aware of a substantial contamination of the beef and venison food supply. Although this paper presents evidence in favor of a motive for animal mutilations, there is still insufficient evidence to identify the perpetrators..............

The primary conclusion of this paper is that the animal mutilation epidemic of 1970-2003 was and is a monitoring operation for an infectious agent that is spreading through the human food chain (cattle, sheep and wild & farmed deer/elk). In North America (Canada and United States) the infection comprises a full-blown CWD epidemic in deer and elk and a sub-clinical BSE infection in cattle. The infectious agent, unlike all known viruses and bacteria, is almost indestructible and the symptoms in people appear very difficult to diagnose pre-mortem.

In short this TSE agent is the perfect stealth killer. If the hypothesis is correct, animal mutilation operations are carried out by a knowledgeable group that is cognizant of the biochemistry and infectious potential of prion diseases and their fatal spread.

NIDS were unable to (or perhaps unwilling) to point a finger at the likely perpetrators of such an operation.

But the overall mystery remains.

I lean toward it being something done by the government/military. The unmarked helicopters seen in several cases and the fact that it seems to mostly be limited to North America. I would have to see with my own eyes a vulture or some other scavenger actually making incisions like that for me to believe it is scavengers because they are very precise. Same with aliens, I would personally have to witness it to believe it.

Why not just ask the ranchers for permission in the interest of medical science, or just pay the ranchers fair market value for a living head of cattle from the herd?

The operation and manning of a helicopter crew and technicians….costs a lot more than the cost of using a truck and a couple of government personnel to haul away some cattle.

Why would the government have to make a costly tax payer perpetuating mystery?
