Im not one to disparaige wahts going on but......why is the posters posts 404d if you look at their history?

Members arent upset at the OP, theyre upset about what looks like an attempt to fool the community.

Something just doesn't feel right, that being said, I would like to see the OP and put forth his info just like the rest of us do.

I dunno, all of this just feels off..

I Trust Heff, and I dont doubt his declaration at all, and I think hes right.......but ATS has always been better than most forums of figuring out what doesnt feel right.

Well at least OP got to post their e-store before they ran.

I mean if any other new account did that... well we know how it goes.

Also on this site we know how it tends to go when we get a warm up post instead of just the content from the get go.

How often have we had people do the "big things will be revealed in the future" for it to go nowhere?

Too many times.

It's ATS, we question things, especially posts like this, and especially when they admit to having a financial incentive to support the (still unknown) owner and site. And those tend to get torn down pretty quick.
Getting 403'd when you look at OP's post history doesn't exactly help.

Maybe the owner and staff can sit OP down and explain how ATS works and hold OP to the same standards as the rest of us. (Some lessons in post formatting wouldn't go astray either.)

And heck, lot of interest and support shown to the subject and OP, yet a couple of people criticize and all of a sudden its "I know how this goes, I am running away" on their first post after only 2 pages.
And by an 'adminstrator' no less.... (This is why I don't give friends jobs)

To the admins, you have to understand why people are going to feel like this and ask these questions. Again if I or anyone else made a post like this and commented like this we know how it would go.
Stating they're good friends with owner, stating financial interests, not just having a moderator but an administrator jump in and defend them and tell everyone to 'play nice' before they even get going you know we're going to question that.

Heck it's an introduction post in the wrong forum.

Lead by example, administrators should be held to the same rules as everybody else and don't be surprised when people point it out when they're not.

And OP I suggest if you do make another post you stick to the rules and get to the point.
Instead of writing about what you will one day write about, just write what you're going to write about.
This forums is "ancient & lost civilizations" not "Introductions"

Put up or shut up as we're allowed to say to anyone else.
And welcome to ATS, if you don't have a thick skin and cannot take being questioned or criticized you're in the wrong place.
Then again, maybe it's becoming that it is the rest of us that are???

Mystery ATS owner and staff, don't throw your user base under a bus for a single person is my advice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm interested in what OP has to say and give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'll admit this thread has left me with nothing but doubt.

I too look forward to actual posts from this person, as I do with everyone on ATS.

But they got a lot of positive responses more so than anything critical I feel. So if anyone ran them off, it was themselves.

Here's hoping OP sticks around, but if not then it might be for the best because it takes a certain special something to be a mod or admin on a public international forum. Especially one like ATS. Not everyone is cut out for such jobs.

I got accused of coming in here to sell people products, I got accused of hacking in the system, i got accused of sending people spam for going to my website . All for just sharing some cool info about Ancient Egypt that I'm working on and introducing myself. So , as a Man with a family and a business and a lot on my plate, I really don't have time for things like this. It's quite an interesting time, and if you like puzzles there's a lot of pieces to study (same with the Amarna period.) I'd be happy to go over what scholars know about the situation if there's an interest (with links.) I've done a few threads like this for Ancient Egypt; some of them are pinned at the top of this topic.


NB: The intermediate periods are when an artifact that intrigues me appears -- the so-called "magical knives" that were used in rituals and ceremonies and spells. The paper I linked about knife-wielding deities of the underworld suggested some identities for similar figures that appear on the "knives/wands" - but the real problem there is that the artifacts are old finds, so that we have little to no associated detail about where they were found and what context they had (other than "bought from a dealer")

Hey you probably seen before, many members here were told to go to see a doctor, which is another harsh common comment done when someone is sharing some sensitive and personal information or experience. I also experienced these kind of unfriendly and disrespectful comments. Why not we just go with our talks and ignore them? I always leave them to admins and they self shame seeing the talk is going and he she is not even being replied to. They are left alone. We are with you buddy.

I think most people in this thread have been most welcoming from reading the posts. It was the exception at the start. But any misconceptions, have now been done with.

You of course, like any other person in the world, have the right to feel offended. Though, if a few unsound, jittery, apprehensive voices on an internet forum is enough to dissuade you from teaching others who wish to learn, and welcome you with open arms, then perhaps, i think you are not so eager to depart with your knowledge.

You must understand, that you are not the only person who comes to this conspiracy theory website and spouts such things. The motto of the website is “deny ignorance”. A great deal of ignorance is just accepting people’s words at face value and not checking for yourself, or doing your own research, or trying to find out whether or not they could be speaking plainly and truthfully.

Take for instance in your first post, about how Coronal Mass Ejections IS the ankh symbol. That’s one hell of a statement. Do i just accept that as truth? Of course not. I accept it as an idea, and am still awaiting for how CMEs are the ankh. I have done a google search to see if there is anything out there with similarities regarding it, and found not much. I have done my own research on the ankh, and never has CMEs been introduced regarding it.

But here’s the thing. I love debate. I love debating with people on various amounts of topics. Some people get annoyed. Hell, i get annoyed. But that usually ends up with me getting determined and spending some time trying to see the debate topic from different points of view, increasing my knowledge base, or base of understanding about certain topics.

You don’t just give up and shrug your shoulders at the first few line of resistance, bow down and out. God knows sometimes i keep arguing even when i know I’m wrong, just so someone can point out how I’m wrong and just how wrong I am.

So please. Don’t go. Please share your knowledge. We want to hear it. But don’t think for a second we won’t question it, analyse it, and put it through a blender to see if it mixes right.

It’s like you said. Some things you read when you were younger, after having re-read them when you are older, you discover new meanings, and new truths. You might find that to be true yourself when having your teachings to us, be scrutinised by the members here. In the end we will all learn.
