What in the world... Well what are they gonna do with Owlbears and such? In what world a half orc is a no no and an Owlbear is fine?

Yeah, they're more PC absurdity, but the DM pretty much calls the shots as I recall D&D from a long time ago.

After the WoTC betrayal, I'm disappointed people care what they do beyond their homebrew games.
TSR's Planescape was my jam. I recently defected to Paizo.

Anywho, this is a social game of the mind and the imagination. Play what you want, how you want.
Roll some dice. Use minis. Have fun!
