Again withdrawn because other vaccines work better.

You can believe in your vaccine ideology. Nobody prevents you from doing so. Keep repeating it and you can even convince a few poor souls online.

More from the Australian government itself from June 17, 2021...

Summary

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) recommends the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine (Comirnaty) as the preferred vaccine for those aged 16 to under 60 years. This updates the previous preferential recommendation for Comirnaty over COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca in those aged 16 to under 50 years. The recommendation is revised due to a higher risk and observed severity of thrombosis and thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) related to the use of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine observed in Australia in the 50-59 year old age group than reported internationally and initially estimated in Australia.

Denmark says it’s permanently stopping use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The miracle of science was ditched back in April 2021 in Denmark. Then most other countries that used it have stopped using it a few months later. It took 2 years for Australia to do what they should have done long time ago.

Not the greatest success story. A vaccine that has been withdrawn pretty much from all countries that have used it after 'rare adverse events'.

The UK has done the same. Australia has withdrawn the AZ vaccines and so on.

You can believe in your ideology as much as you want. Nobody prevents you from doing so.

So another vaccine was better and they recomended that one.

And you think that supports your argument they are lying?

That depends on whether or not you consider withholding parts of the truth as a lie.

They've already stated that they were cutting back on the AZ vaccine and increasing their purchase of Pfizer due to the increased risks and severity of Thrombosis back in June 2021. So, for them to come out now and just state that vaccines from others like Pfizer are better, is only a partial truth...until it is proven that the same risk and severity exists within Pfizer too, which it does.

The logical conclusion here is that Australia is only coming out now to announce the complete halt of AZ because they've finally gotten rid of their stockpile, even though they knew the increased risks back in June 2021.

All vaccines have some element of risk. What matters is the relative benefit versus that risk.

If other vaccines provide the same is better protection for less chance of a side effect then it makes sense to recomend the other one.

That doesn't mean that the Astrazeneca vaccine didn't work or was unsafe it just means others were better.

The fact that they changed recommendations to reflect that, despite having ordered astrazeneca contradicts the claim that they are lying, not supports it.

You're just being dense. No wonder the same stuff gets repeated on here over and over. You're still ignoring the fact that the Australian government initially admitted that it was the increased risk and severity of Thrombosis back in June 2021 that made them decide to stop purchasing AZ and purchase more doses from Pfizer instead.

You failed to understand me when I said all vaccines have risks and I am being dense? They used another vaccine that had less risk. They made public recommendations to that affect and that makes you think they are now lying?

People die from taking antibiotics every year, maybe you agree with Asmode that we should ban antibiotics?

And all vaccine apologists keep regurgitating the same debunked arguments and claims, again and again.

Stop the vaccine apologetics and denialism of reality and stop defending the Pharmaceuticals

Strawman at the bottom of your reply.

We already know that all vaccines have risks, but when a government states, early on back in June 2021, that there's an INCREASED risk and a level of SEVERITY that they can no longer ignore, you need to listen instead of ignore.

Yes the risk from Astrazenneca was higher than some other vaccines. That why they publicly recomended the others.

Again not evidence of them lying.

It's not a strawman, it's what you said on another thread and very relevant to your lack of understanding of risk. Please learn what a strawman actually is, you continually misuse it.

The astrazeneca vacimne was used widely and had benefits over the MRNA vaccine for distribution. The fact that it was superseded by other vaccines is indicative of the success of MRNA vaccines, not the failure of Astrazeneca.

I think it's very telling that you now have to focus on a single make of vaccine.

Based on the information I already provided, it's clear that the AZ vaccine was widely used only because the Australian government had purchased so much of it in the beginning. In fact, the source says that they were "banking on it" in the beginning...until it failed them.

Unfortunately, they chose not to publicly repeat the fact that they had chosen in June 2021 to stop purchasing the AZ vaccine due to INCREASED RISK and the SEVERITY of Thrombosis. Very misleading and misguided.
