I dont think pushing and further provoking Russia in Ukraine and trying to break up Russia is a good idea either politically. It seems parts of the US govt is still stuck in the cold war era.

Well, they can always turn tale in Ukraine "and head back home begging for forgiveness at every Ukrainian door that they pass along the way".

That way Russia may very well be left to their own devices and relatively in one piece as long as they promise never to threaten any European nation ever again.

Ive lived alot of my life with a parent who does that, now days its putler whos the guy to usher in old Geddon replete with many 'it all fits with the bible', when 10 years ago it was 2012, then before that Y2K, before that old Saddam (said 'prediction' was conveniently forgotten about quickly after he was swinging from a gallows even to the point of flat out denying they ever made said predictions over and over for 10+ years even though theres many in the family who remember them lol).

Losing those markets would be devastating to the West and to both China and Taiwan.

Sounds like you're saying we get products from both China and Taiwan. If China takes over Taiwan, we'll be getting the products from a "merged" China-Taiwan. That's OK, isn't it?

Not for the 23.57 million poor Taiwanese it's not.

carewemust China can take Taiwan, but holding on to it is another story, especially if they wish the place to remain intact and economically viable.

Finally, what Biden's doing should be surprising as he's been warmongering for decades. Given that, there's little difference between both Democrats and Republicans, as they both work for Wall Street, which controls the U.S. economy and wants to continue neoconservatism and neoliberalism.

I predict it will backfire on Biden because everything he does turns into disaster. He can't get out of judgement coming towards him. All of his disasters are warnings to him but he ignores them just like he has ignored all of Americans for his own benefit for decades.

I think "Democracy" will continue if Ukraine loses to a Russia-China alliance. Our President blows everything out of proportion. Time to cut our losses, while those losses are just $$$.

Let's say for arguements sake that China invaded Taiwan. There would be a war between the USA and China, resulting in China declaring war against South Korea and Japan. North Korea, supplied by China, along with Chinese troops would hit South Korea, causing it to Collapse, China just needs to bleed Tiawan, continously. The only way to do that is to hit them hard from the get go, get enough troops on the island to burn the whole place down, and basically eliminate a trade reason for the USA to continue to engage. Further, China just has to hurt the Pacific fleet to get them to stay away. They can do that. The result is Taiwan and SK getting taken over, and the war being fought over Japan. This would heavily damage Japan, eventually seeking them to sue for peace. That peace treaty would involve the USA leaving Japan. After the peace, this opens the door to China taking Mongolia, as well as pushing into the Philipians. This expands there territory giving them vital resources at no cost. Russia has issues and will continue to have issues with Europe, so for 50 years china can build. continue to expand their influence with India, and push into SE asia to expand influence there.

That leaves a dominant China with Australia and Japan on the front, and China heavily fortified, with Russia directly providing resources. They literally have everything to gain here. It will cost them alot of lives, but lives are cheap for them. At the end of the day, China is the next top dog, with Russia allied with them, and the USA and Europe two and 3 being the underdog as China pushes their agenda in Africa as well as Asia. the Power and Influence Sphere shifts from west to east.
