For the past 20 years that fight for democracy in Afghanistan was not about democracy.

America's definition of bringing Democracy to foreign countries means Martial Law awaits them. Just think of the Philippines under Marcus dictator.
How can America bring its current form of Democracy when people in Congress get thrown in the mental ward after a few days in Congress.

I think there is more to this "slow" war. Russia could wipe out all military installations in less then 24 hours. The reason is that both countries are using this as a training ground and using up old fashion military hardware.
The moment, real military hardware is going to be used... Like Putin said... I will use and go nuclear if being attack in Russia. This war or war scrimage is just a practice ground. Today on Japanese news it showed both countries where the restaurants are filled and people enjoying all the snow.
By the way the news shows a better economic real growth then America as it sits behind the TV and collect govt. handouts. In Russia, the govt handout is roughly $200 a month for those that qualify. Also, Russia makes its own coke soda now and you can still by Dr. Pepper soda there. I do think though if I heard right that the Dr. Pepper is made in Mexico.

No, they used nation building and NATO encroachment as provoacation.

Biden even outlined exactly how they did it back in 1997 at the Atlantic Council.

But in either case. I think it’s extremely debatable since Ukraine elected a leader who promised during his campaign to join the EU. It’s the same guy who made a back room deal wihh the Putin.

The argument is then, do sovereign countries have free will, or should sphere of influence leaders be able to dictate. And if we’re critical of the US doing that, which is fair, the same logic should be used for Russia.

Did the US force all former USSR countries to lean left? Or did they decide to? Why does Russia only have a handful of allies if they’re so morally sound?

I think it’s an interesting thought experiment.

Even with the Budapest memorandum, I think we’re getting too involved… but I’m not about to feel sorry for Russia.

When Ukraine leadership allowed Mccain, Graham, Biden and Nulin to play in their social/economic/political issues, that sovereignity is at best, just a word. At worst, they sold it to people who have and had only personal financial gain as motivations.

America is the tyranny ...how many countries has it invaded ... How many civilians did America bomb in the name of freedom ? America has not answered for its decades and decades of war crimes... Why are so many vets who served in Afghanistan and Iraq committing suicide ?
I was at a medical conference in Mexico ...one of the topics was PTSD ...there was some vets from the states speaking a large chunk of the PTSD was what they did to innocent civilians they were so ashamed of it and the penny dropped for them when they realised they were being used and cast aside after and heavily medicated to stay quiet..meanwhile the military takes a new batch of young men to do the same to them and the cycle goes on .... Sure maybe Russia is tyrany but America has not right to speak
