ANOTHER potential shoot down!

Could be North Korean spy balloons.

It was Alert F-15s out of Portland, supported by a KC-135 from Fairchild. Just about any time Alert aircraft launch a tanker is launched to support them.

Because it was on its refueling track for the F-15s it was supporting so they could get back to Portland.

Yes. The tanker has an ADS-B Out equipped transponder while the fighters don't. Not all military aircraft have switched, but the airlift fleet was the priority. Most tactical aircraft don't broadcast over CONUS. They're getting ADS-B Out installed as they go through PDM, but that's commonly every seven years for a lot of aircraft.

That's because ADS-B Exchange relies on individual feeders. They were tracking using MLAT, which if you only have a few receivers is very inaccurate. They had enough to show an approximate position but not an accurate position. FR24 uses a different method for tracking, that includes satellite tracking. So they're more accurate.

ROCK41 and ROCK42 (142nd FW/123rd FS) were scrambled out of Portland. They met up with 61-0294, a KC-135R/T out of Fairchild and refueled over Montana.

I agree 99% with you .

There is the 1% chance they are shooting things down coming into the Alaskan Air Space because they are all of the Sudden looking for them now . It's possible China has been sending drones on that rout for years and now it's compromised .

Time will tell , and a tell tell sign will be us going to War with China very very soon.

Some pilots said the object "interfered with their sensors" on the planes...
Some pilots also claimed to have seen no identifiable propulsion on the object, and could not explain how it was staying in the air, despite the object cruising at an altitude of 40,000 feet.

but what are the chances this is nothing but faux incidences for whatever purposes? or this has been happening all a long but TPTB has just now started to make us aware
