Can anyone fill us in on details here? Just posting this here so that you're aware, this is breaking right now..... Could be nothing!

It’s a 43x43 NM square TFR around the city of Havre MT.

There is a refueling tanker south of the area.

I’m in PDX. Word is spreading out here we have sent tankers and fighter jets north.

Been "hearing" the same thing.

Any proof to the rumors?

Only local chatter nothing concrete as of yet. Strangely enough our town was warned at the begging of this past week not to worry if “we hear strange sounds at night due to military activity”. We’ve been hearing the most insane sounds all week.

The closest military plane is a fuel tanker.

Which originated from Fairchild AFB. West of Spokane.

Why would they have a refuelling tanker just flying around on its own? And why close the airspace to do it?

Seems reasonable to me that, if there's refuelling tankers up, the fighters are there too?

That question is WAY above my paygrade.

However a couple of observations. ADS-B site is showing relatively straight flight path while Flightradar24 is showing a couple of loops, speaking about the tanker.

Guessing all other nearby aircraft have their transponders off?

The restriction has been lifted.

Mat Rosendale has said that the DoD is going to resume efforts in the morning to ground an object that could cause interference with other aircraft?

Now they've reopened the airspace. Man this is confusing!

Looks like it's heading back from where it came, yes.

I just thought it weird that one site had a direct flight, relatively, and another shows 3 loops before returning.

Also, this sun has just set in Montana.

Probably they don't want to shoot it down over civi area. Which makes me believe the object is most likely another Chinese spy balloon. Smaller cylindrical balloon. Isn't going to bode well with US and China relations.

I don't know enough but it does seem weird as hell but FAWK this has been happening and they just never told us before
