These are the current, and probably last photos of the ChiCom Spy balloon, being recovered. The U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 2,
is photographed off the coast of Myrtle Beach on Feb. 5. The FBI will be taking over the remnants of the Spy Balloon for study. www.huffpost.com...

For a balloon to be large enough to carry a spy platform the size of 3 school buses, there doesn't seem to be enough material here.

however. you can already see from the few pictures of individual parts of the balloon that it could have caused a lot of damage.

Photo #1 was taken when there was still some daylight.

Photo #4 was taken in complete darkness.

I'd estimate about 30 to 45 minutes between the two photos.
However, the positions of the seamen and contents of the tubed spy platform, haven't changed.
Strange, the Gooberment wouldn't be staging photos, would they?

That structure looks to be carbon fiber. Expected. Have used the same for similar purposes.

If that is supposed to be one of the solar panels, it looks too small, even extrapolated out to multiple panels over an array 100 or so feet long, to power an airship for days at 60KFT.

IMO, none of the black structure looks like what was being photographed from the ground.

But hey....call me jaded and skeptical. I don't believe anything put out by our government.

What parts, that we are shown could have caused a lot of damage over wide open space Montana?

Decent point.

I think it's what we are Not being shown that had the officials so concerned about safety.

And nobody in the media, or on either side of the political aisle, seems to know enough, or care enough, to ask the right questions.

Hint:

What is the big concern people have been voicing over EV's in cold climates?

Do you know how cold it gets in the stratosphere, where this thing spent days?

Who cares about the balloon where's what was hanging under it. Dropping 65,000 feet probably wasn't too good for it but it probably was a pressure vessel so it should be fine. other than the self destruct stuff.

Definitely looks like a photo op. Look at the dude sitting on the starboard side not helping his bros. Staged.
