Mysterious antennas keep popping up in Utah’s foothills and no one knows why.

It could be cell tower relays.

They can track anyone who is going up there that has a cell and where they are going to / from.

Could be dirtboxes.

Heartland Wireless Communications installed thousands of antennas in trees all over north east Texas in the mid 90's. I was an installer myself. As I recall Bill Clinton president at the time had some involvement in Heartland Wireless. It was all line of sight stuff to a tower in Texarkana Texas, we didn’t install if we didn’t have a good signal. I could still point out many trees with antennas today. Heartland went belly up years ago the receivers remain.
