All things have a beginning.

What was done with the "novel" virus is not news. A solution is required whether it was done well or badly (even criminally) botched.

Do we start by not developing a cure? Will that be a step in our final response to this situation: don't research a cure? If so where does it belong?

COVID is caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, do we expect not to see variants and other related viral entities in the future? Shall we not research cures for those either?

Cutting our noses off to spite our faces... I suggest that would not be a winning strategy.

Well, thank goodness they found a cure now, glad you can sleep better and you don't have to fear the COVID boogieman anymore.

The point remains there is a load of more troublesome viruses and diseases #1 and #2 there is more than circumstantial evidence humanity's survival is linked to letting our immune systems fight these battles and eventually we have the genetics to survive them without a pharmaceutical "cure".

We won't ever have a completely sterile and germ and disease environment, thus it is better as species to be adaptable. It's common knowledge we overuse antibiotics to the point we are seeing many different strains of bacteria that are now antibiotic-resistant.

at the link below you can see the number of deaths by age group according to the CDC, after 2 plus years

Humanity may have tangled with a coronavirus outbreak more than 20,000 years ago, according to a new study.

Scientists from Australian National University discovered that coronavirus — a family of viruses which include COVID-19, SARS, and MERS, or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome —left a sort of historical marker in human genomes.

After examining the genomes of more than 2,500 people from 26 countries, the researchers found evidence that coronavirus — which must attach itself to specific proteins in the body in order to replicate — had been present, forcing the genes themselves to adapt.

Signs that genes had been forced to adapt after encountering coronaviruses were found in just five populations, all from East Asia, according to the study.

This suggests that ancestors of modern-day people in East Asia were first exposed to the disease around 25,000 years ago, according to the study.

The cure is common sense.

I just saved millions for the taxpayers.

The common cold is usually caused by coronaviruses. And, as the "ivermectin ... Vitamin d...zinc quercetin... Vitamin C ... Glutathione ....Nad+.. black seed oil" aren't genomic strain specific, how do they go at curing the common cold?

I'm not sure how the treatments you cite were ever considered a cure.

This research is about disabling the virus' ability to survive the human body by disrupting its mechanisms to escape the immune system.

I might stress that this is about research. No cure has been found, and it changes nothing about the past events surrounding the COVID event.

I had vainly hoped that indications that a cure was being sought would be at least somewhat encouraging. But I can see that I may have been naive about our general willingness to accept encouragement.

If the cure for covid is found, then that means is a cure for colds and flu.

Is never going to happen. Sadly but truth.

This seems to be Dr. Fauci's thoughts on the vaccine as of late...

CNN: "Ron DeSantis. He's now asking the Florida Supreme Court to green-light an investigation into...any and all wrongdoing...with respect to COVID-19 vaccines."

FAUCI: "I don't have a clue what he's asking for...What's the problem with vaccines?"

It's a pathway (a viable approach) to eliminating one of the strengths of the virus itself. It theoretically if successfully applied could be considered a cure. But we already know how the pharmaceutical industry and commerce-government actually behave with such things.

I have to ask, should we just not study this? It seems to have ruffled feathers to even discuss the possibility.

Color me extremely skeptical.
They have been trying to find a cure for the common cold for decades, it seems.
Without success.

This is just another corona. GOF'd and all, but still a corona.

I respect skepticism. Especially in regard to intent.

But I also am skeptical that they ever really tried to find a cure for the common cold. Hell, they couldn't even generally specify what the common cold actually was until relatively recently.

For me the kicker is the "never spoken about" matter of the gain of function research this strain was subjected to in Wuhan.

Me personally I have given out over 200 bottles of ivermectin ... I have used it myself with much success and I treated quite a few cases with ivermectin as well the usual suspects on the list
Vitamin d .. zinc ...quercetin..black seed oil.. vitamin C .. glutathione ..nad+ .. worst case I dealt with was a friend young guy in his early 20's .. he stayed with me ... His body was shutting down and he was semi paralysed ... Very shallow breathing .. delirious ...high fever ...no taste or smell ..body pain .... He had late stage covid .... I had a choice take him to hospital or treat him with what I know works....within 24 to 36 hours he was walking around outside and he looked much much better had him sit in the sun and get fresh air .. he recovered quite quick
I also added some of my own remedies ..Reishi ...chaga ...cordyceps....black garlic ... And to open the airways I make tea from cloves .. 4 grams of cloves ground in coffee grinder add in cup with boiling water steep for 10 mins strain and serve.... Cloves opens up the lungs and breathing becomes much better and the cough becomes manageable ...also cloves are anti bacterial ..anti fungal and acts as an antibiotic .... Amazing what it does to free up the lungs .. it works!
He would not have stood a chance in the hospital.... I have helped a lot of people ... I had a lot of packs of medicine ready for when cases popped up... In my community people turn to me for help for these sorts of things ... So from my own experiences I can see the work ivermectin does as well the other things on the COVID treatment protocol .....

Yeah, maybe too little real research was done....
Cold remedies and supplements and such a cash cow for MIC [medical industrial complex]....doctor/hospital visits, OTC and prescription treatments, Kleenex, whiskey and honey.

And thinking of that and the money going from consumers with Covid, long covid, MIS-A to MIC and associated business, I really wonder how serious they are to end this novel virus cash cow.

I really feel pretty jaded about the MIC.....

Yes, we have an all for profits pharma mafia, that their only purpose is to cash out on the illnesses and suffering of the population, cures are not in their minds, because it's not profitable.

It is known that the cure for cancer has been around for a while, but pharma will never let it be.

Pharma will study this, but no for the public benefits.

I was using and making up 'sniffy sticks' as I call them (nasal inhalers) from the off of C19. I laughed when I saw all these various pharma nasal inhalers being made.
I use sniffy sticks for all sorts of reasons for my clients and have been for about 7 years now.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, this is just general science doing what real science does. And paid for by tax payers - i.e. The Government, in this case, by the Russian Government (A study was carried out by scientists from the Innovation Center of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologies of Ural Federal University, Kurgan State University, and Tyumen State University.) per OP citation.

It's when an actual use is developed that the Capitalists take it from the people to serve the mighty Market Gods.

A good cure for covid is to turn the news off ....
Or ivermectin ... Vitamin d...zinc quercetin... Vitamin C ... Glutathione ....Nad+.. black seed oil ... That does the job nicely
Personaly I won't be trusting anything "science " has to say for quite a while .....

+1.
The MSM won't discuss any "cures" seriously if they don't want to.
