According to your "Respect for Marriage Act" 2022 which makes it legal and before that the ruling from your Supreme Court in 2015.

But lets start with yourself, do you have an issue with people of the same sex getting married, and if so why?

I wish to understand your perspective and rationale.

It's a bit confusing.

I was raised Roman Catholic and thought Jesus turned the tables over and shouoted them, not beat them up. We were always taught he was about peace, love, turning the other cheek or kicking the sand off the soles of your feet - while I don't believe he was the son of God I've always had immense respect for those teachings.

It's a bizarre choice of act to have but they seem be respectful of the church and all the priests/monseigneurs wore dresses when delivering sermons at churches I went to so don't see much of an issue myself.

I could imagine Jesus having strong words with the church if he disagreed but not beating them within an inch of their lives. Maybe just due to it being a different denomination though. Your version seems a lot more fundamentalist/extremist interpretation.

You're welcome...that's what I do...clear up things that people make all messy and difficult to understand!

Yes...I have an issue with people of the same sex getting married and it's because it's my personal belief...the same values that you pointed out are so important in the ruling from the Supreme Court!

I agree that is the reason I am not a religious church follower, once the churches became money making monopolies I was done with then.

I guess God needs all the real state he can get to save mankind.

Considering they don't have a problem with you getting married to whomever you choose.

Live and let live jerryznv might be an idea to attempt to "understand".

You will have less issues for a start.

And that way everyone can experience a modicum of happiness.

Same could be said about people who entertain the notions that surrounds most organised religious practice doing the rounds throughout recorded history.

And yet 80% of the world population still subscribe to such ideologies.

I'm on the fence by the way,

And after all, just about everyone is a least a little bit mental at one level or the other.

Plus the fact of the matter or so it seems to me is that to be sane in an insane world is simply counterproductive.

Being quite partial to my own meat and tackle Creep Thumper i don't necessarily disagree on that score.

I dont think they chop it off all the same but more like turn the poor wee sausage inside out or whatnot, could be right about the berries.

Each to their own all the same.

If it makes them happy they would not be the first peeps in history to choose to have elective surgeries to make them feel complete.

As far as i understand the predicament both sides of the pond through.

The notion that they are performing sexual reorientation surgeries on our children.

Or encouraging pre-pubescent people to have such operations is somewhat of a misnomer.

The trans community in the US is recruiting kids. I can't speak for the UK. I don't know.

You asked me if I have an issue with same sex marriages...not if I had a problem with it!

Two different things IMO...my issue is private and personal...a religious choice and belief! Do I have a problem with same sex marriages...no, not particularly...I could really care less! Just like gays could care less about my marriage...as you pointed out!

Well peoples marital status would indeed seem to fall under the "private and personal" umbrella.

And nobody's issue but their own.

Thing is offence has to be taken and seldom given.

If two people love one another and choose to spend their life together in marriage as far as i can establish thats their own kit and caboodle to carry and contend with.
