So, this is a new trial (yes, it is undergoing testing trials) based on the COVID vaccine technology but it can be customised for existing cancer patients.

Does ATS think that this is evil Big Pharma or is it, maybe, very good news indeed?

Your link pulls up a blank page!

Anyway here's an interesting Twitter snippet on the mRNA vaccine!

Fixed that, that link did not work.

But this is not about the COVID vaxx.

It's worked so good for a flu. Why not flood your whole body with it in hopes it will hunt down and target a patch of zombie cancer cells?

Then we can finally get a proper COVID-ZOMBY strain and be done with all this absurd reality that keep ramping up.

Oh...well there is this though from your link!

Could Covid vaccine technology crack cancer?

Patients taking Keytruda for advanced melanoma were less likely to die, or have the skin cancer reoccur, if they also had the jab, mRNA-4157/V940, Moderna and Merck said.

The findings, in 157 patients, have not yet been scrutinised by independent experts or regulators.

More trials will be needed to check how effective the treatment might be.

Moderna's chief medical officer Paul Burton said: "This is a significant finding. It's the first randomised-trial testing of an mRNA therapeutic in cancer patients.

"It's shown a 44% relative reduction in the risk of dying of cancer or having your cancer progress. That's an important finding and I think it has the potential to be a new paradigm in the treatment of cancer patients."

I heard this on the radio earlier, and honestly I hope it's a great new future, but I wonder if this new MRNA tech is just a can of new worms for the future.
I'm sure if I ever get some incurable thing in my future, then for sure I'll jump at anything then.

I just hope it's true altruistic science going on here...but I'm an ATS member, and watched too many dystopian future movies!

The Lancet link did not work.

Apologies.

So was needed?

On topic?

We'll, yes, it's in the trial and testing stage, but sounds promising, no?

not really a vaccine, even the moderna chief says as much:

testing of an mRNA therapeutic

if it does reduce death for those with advanced melanoma then that is great.

If you have ever had or know someone that has had cancer, you might appreciate some hope?

The covid vaccine doesn't even sound promising on covid IMO!!!

My Dad died of cancer and I know there is no way in hell he would be putting some mRNA technology, which has SPED up cancers (covid injections) into his body to try and fix his cancer. That sounds like fast-tracked genocide to me.
Yet more tripe from the British Bollocks Commune.
But 'no! we had it in your best interests! We really thought these vaccines would be effective at stopping infection and transmission! '

It's not a COVID injection. It's being trialled and tested.

Let's wait and see, eh?

Other sources than your hated BBC are available.

I would have thought that a potential cure for some cancers might have been greeted with a little positivity?

What was I thinking.

I wouldn't watch the Doomsday film on Netflix then.

Actually, it is a brilliant mash up of Aliens, 28 Weeks Later, Mad Max and Escape from LA and I highly recommend it.
