CSU lasers likely to be key to

Colorado State has one of the strongest lasers but also the fastest, 3 shot per second! Last year or maybe even the year before, they made an
announcement about achieving fusion conditions firing their laser at a hrid of gold nano wires.
Nothing else was mentioned about this except the CSU announcement. I think I found it as a link from Lawrence Livermore mentioning the school in
passing.
So, instead of NIF using their 192 lasers at a lower power, they should be able to swap out for the higher powered, rapid shot capability of the
Colorado State lasers!
Then they can leave NIF for weapons research as it was intended!
So maybe the OP was a big deal if this was also mentioned as to the roadmap for laser fusion reactors.
