I mean give me enough money and power and i can make it seem the world is approaching biblical eschatology.

After the big loss of life, who's going to ask? they'll prolly believe they are the doomed ones, and be to few anyways.

Can you see how that self fulfilling prophecy might come in very handy?

A couple of points:

You know you don’t see too many of these types get in scandals. They must be real righteous fellows….SURE…Real monks.

I figure the only way they can be brought down is one of those sleazy Epstein-type scandals, which would bring a lot of notice to their actions.

Maybe I don’t recall, but other than Epstein, I don’t remember too many of them involved in such scandals.



Reading about these somewhat esoteric economic scams reminds us how they get away with these swindles.

I’m not really being eschatological, necessarily. The wise people who did our ancient scriptures go by archetypes and knowledge of humans' ( fallen) nature so it can always predict the same actions macro cosmically.

So, we are inevitably heading towards this kind of thing…as long as our nature is the way it is.

I figure at least my job on this planet( and I would hope others here, too) is to try to convince these scoundrels to relieve suffering, not just accumulate illusory wealth and power you’ll never need when they go to hell.

We keep talking about what the powers that be are doing. All that talk has zero effect if we keep doing all the things that keep them in power.

If someone left the spigot on and the house is flooded. Walking around the city telling everyone you see that the house is flooded, is not going to stop the flood.

We should at least turn off the tap.

How do we do anything about it?

We, being those who don't invest, don't buy new, rarely buy what we don't need, no longer support the medical system. How do people with no power who are censored by the very system that enslaves them, get others to be aware?
We cannot petition a government that is bought by corporate entitites, we cannot vote in anything better as propaganda sullies any healthy competition.
Not really looking for an answer but I'm out of ideas.

Historically we are like that for a blip compared to our whole evolution, and it happened "overnight".
There is something other at work, and it's old, very old and been fooling the majority of people into constant conflict, throughout recorded history.

Money is but the latest scheme, me thinks....

So why worry? Iam trying my best to stop beating the dead horse.

I try to accept the things that I cannot change, at least to the point of allowing myself to remain civil. I fight for those things I can change, even if it matters to no one else but me, and I pray for the wisdom to know the difference.

People are more aware than is believed. Most have just chosen to go with the status quo. We are not helpless. We have the power. We are just a million honey bees working for the wasps.

They have conditioned us to be content with what they allow us to have, and they will take what they want when they want. Be it our jobs, our homes, our children.

I admit that I often find it very frustrating when I see the internet is used to generate conversation and dissent, but it it is rarely used to battle those issues that we agree is wrong, and is even used less frequently to work together on a solution.

I live as minimally as I can. I try to maintain only what I need, so the fear of losing "things" or having "things" taken from me, is a weapon that would be ineffective.

You can't win a game where all the pieces of the game, and all the rules are under the control of your opponent, and they can change them to their favor at will.

So why keep playing a game you know you can't win?

We will never get enough people to not play. So let's those that wish to be fodder, play. I decided a while back, to sit it out.

This bothers me too. After Y2K when we understood the internet is not going to die so easily many interesting attempts were taken to create platforms that were intended for consensus based political solutions.

The swiftness with which that new free space was filled with junk to mindlessly consume is staggering....
