They needn't bother. Musk is likely to implode and destroy the platform through his own incompetence, so there probably won't be anything left to ban. Give him a year, the problem will solve itself.

My my my! That's some over ripe SOUR grapes there!

Congrats on a beautiful example of SOUR GRAPES.

Musk only needs to publicly expose which of those politicians were accessing/posting pedo porn !

THAT is what they are really afraid of

Elon, PULL THE TRIGGER !

The guy who revolutionized space travel and electric cars is incompitent?

Thats a new one.

The guy who blew 44 BILLION on a company that's worth less than 1/4 of that. That has only turned a profit 2 of its years in existence. That isn't even in the top 5 most used social media websites. And then drags his brightest minds from Tesla to work at said failing company.

The guy whose stock has dropped to a two year low because of his childish, unpredictable antics and questionable business decisions.

Yeah. That's incompetence. And he didn't revolutionize #. He made space travel for billionaires, and bought an electric car company. Not really revolutionary. But he isgood at two things: self promotion and taking credit for other people's work.

Thats your rationale? That he paid more than market spot price for a company? Do you understand how investments work by chance?

So he'll be selling Tesla and SpaceX then? I mean thats the logic being applied here.

I dont use this term often, but you are an idiot.

You can prove me wrong by showing your own multi-billion dollar empire thats clearly better than what Musk has built.

I struggle to think of things with less value to the world than Twitter but the EU is certainly a major contender.

I would love for him to publish ANY interaction between the government and twitter without a warrant.

Twitter is finally becoming a platform everyone can use without fear of censorship and the only ones freaking out are the radical left. At last we are seeing real trending topics and its becoming fun again. I GUESS THAT IS WHAT THE LEFT CALLS RACSISM and white supremacy lol. ( sorry, caps lock stuck) Watching snowflakes melt is glorious!

As far as I know twitter is seeing record user activity and new users signing up. I have no idea what that means in the long term but I'd hold back on the bad investment talk for a while if I were you. Who knows? It might actually take off and grow.

If I'm going to be honest though, I can't see it lasting long term. My instincts tell me it's done but I really don't know. Time will tell.

Ahhh.. I know you're hurting from the Elon buyout. Here's a special puppy video to cheer you up.

Puppy video on Twitter to cheer you up

PS It really will make you feel happy again. Seriously though, this change in ownership and the light being shined on the darkness infesting people and governments isn't something you should keep defaming. It's good news for accountability, but not so much for those accountable the light is now shining on.

I must be missing something as I am not seeing all this hate speech people are talking about. I do see a bunch of people bowing to peer pressure like a bunch of grade schoolers.

Your not missing anything. How many times in the past few years have you seen people that don’t agree with leftist ideology be called racist , bigots , homophobes , terrorists and much much more.

Twitter was great for Democrats a few months back when they covered Bidens/Democrats BS but now it’s a threat to Democracy.

That’s the playbook of the Democrats.

Obviously you don't yet know how the market works and what the real value of a product is as opposed to the value of a share that can deviate at any given time.

I am no fan of Elon Musk but it's better if Twitter and all other social media platforms are normalised again so they won't be governed by a range of left-wing lunatics and activists who promote only their paranoic worldviews and censor everyone else.

Rather interesting considering Musk claims to have evidence of election interference. And for you liberals that will arrest to deny this, NOT JUST IN THE US! Imagine if you will leaders of nations using Twitter to push their agendas and silence their opponents. Brazil may not be the only nation to rise up due to their "leaders" running sham elections. We know in the states the FBI had portals to the tech companies management. Not a stretch to think it went further than that. What I am seeing and hearing is quite a few governments relied on social media to play some dirty pool. Notice all this really ramped up after he removed the hash tags that were used for child trafficking AND his claim of having evidence of election interference???

Yes, most Governments relied on social media to propagandise their narratives and censor or silence dissent and opposition. This is a fact not a speculation.

Twitter has fortunately ended the hijacking of the platform by the left wing lunatics. It seems many areas in still in pain as they can't imagine the day where they are no longer able to promote their absurd and ludicrous pseudo-philosophies and narratives and unable to censor and silence everyone else.

He made space travel for billionaires, and bought an electric car company. Not really revolutionary.

You might want to get your facts straight. I don't even like Elon Musk, but dude, you are out there!

Tesla Motor was founded in July of 2003 and Musk bought in 8 months later. 8 months. For a car company, that's next day. He is listed as a co-founder, along with 4 others, and he took an active role as well as Chairman of the Board almost immediately after buying in. He didn't buy an established car manufacturer... he bought a start-up and turned it into what we know today.

"space travel for billionaires"? What, do you expect the average Joe to just hop an economy seat in a space flight to Mars or something? Musk has actually decreased the cost of space flight by mass-producing the rockets and making major parts of them re-usable! That's something never done before. His reliability seems to be going well too... How many Falcon Heavy liftoffs happened while NASA was scrambling to figure out a way to get Artemis 1 off the launch pad? I saw quite a few.

But he isgood at two things: self promotion and taking credit for other people's work.

You're partially right. He is good at self-promotion. That's why he makes the big bucks. Everyone who makes those big bucks is good at self-promotion; one has to be, because that's how business works.

He also takes a lot of credit, yes. Musk didn't design the Tesla cars, nor did he design the SpaceX Falcon series. But he does do one thing that sets him apart: he decides what he needs his engineers to do (which is usually kind of unheard-of) and then gives his engineers whatever they need to do it. Once it is done, then he figures out how to streamline the production process. He is also a hard taskmaster; Musk does not accept the word "no" very well.

It sounds to me like you're jealous... no need to be. You couldn't do what Musk does if your life depended on it; you have made enough statements in this thread alone to demonstrate that. You sound like one of those guys who thinks the janitors at a firm should make as much as the CEO... but if you ever got a company to make that happen, it would be bankrupt before anyone drew their first paycheck. I've ran a business before, a small C-Corp for ten years, and it's not an easy task. The cardinal rule is "never miss a plug," something you obviously disagree with.

I would need to subscribe to read your link. I would like to know who, exactly, is claiming to speak for the EU. Is it the President? One of the subordinate ministers or institutions?

To the OP: I'm a bit curious how this works.

The USA and the EU are allies, right? I mean, look at all the money we send to Europe every single year! We support NATO financially... other countries can't seem to pony up when there's a need for capital. And yet, has the USA ever called upon NATO to help them with anything? We always seem to be the ones responding to requests.

So how is it that an ally that we support is threatening a boycott on an American company? Worse, how is that an ally that we support and does not help support us is threatening a boycott on an American company because of an American buying it?

Hey, Europe! You've got enough on your platter, what with winter coming on and your gas imports from Russia closed off tight. You might want to take a look at your own problems before you start telling US businesses how to run their business. Last I heard, several of your own member nations were staring bankruptcy square in the face.
