The term "Conspiracy Theorist" is a badge I wear proudly...

My first glimpse behind the curtain came after my first son was born. Up until that time, I didn't pay a lot of attention to what was coming out of the TV, politics, or how the media, even thirty years ago, was conditioning the people of earth to think a certain way. After he was born, I thought maybe I should start paying more attention.

When Bob Dole was running against Bill Clinton, every time they showed Clinton, he was laughing, or looking cool wearing sunglasses and playing a saxophone on Arsenio Hall's show, or walking hand in hand with his devoted wife (puke) on the beach.

Conversely, every time they showed shots of Dole, he was looking dour, or angry, and they always had to make sure they got his gimpy hand in the picture.

Not that Dole was a great man, and would have been any better of a president that Clinton was, and I know to many it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is precisely how the system works to alter how we look at the world, what we think, eat, consume, buy, who we support, and who we vote for.

Since figuring that out, my trust of anything that comes out of government, movies, music, or media has grown to the point where I don't trust anything without doing my own research.

How did I catch that without anyone having to show me, but many, these days especially, you could show hours of video, volumes of sworn testimony from those within that system telling us that such a system exists and it's horrific goals for humanity, and they refuse to even consider it a possibility? How does anyone?

If you go by the Premise that Everything you See and Here in Any Form of Mass Media Today is Either a Half Truth or an Outright Lie , then you Will Eventually Determine Real Provable Truths If you are Observable Enough............

It's one life's greatest lessons and the blinders are off at that point . The question is will you choose to see or will you ignore or will you even fight to reinforce the delusion .

That is the crazy part there are those who will fight for the lie knowing full well it is a lie.

This has been going on as long as politics has been on television. Literally the FIRST televised debate between two candidates for POTUS, Kennedy and Nixon, was slanted with hollywood trickery. When Kennedy was on the screen it was always well lit and sunny looking. When Nixon was on the screen it was always a little darker and had a generally grim presence.

During the clinton great apology speech it was darker and quiet when he began by talking about his transgressions. As he transitioned into the future and his plans, the lights came up and there was uplifting music swelling in the background. If the hollywood crap had gone an inch further someone would have started a slow clap to finish off the scene with all the proper manipulation they could muster.

In history class our teacher played the movie J.F.K for us. Prior to that we watched the Zeputer film and from there I stopped trusting. A kid having so many questions about it. Mainly why Alexander chose the worst possible spot to film. Sun to the front with signs and posts and being far away... The president is coming to your town and you have a video camera which wasn't that popular at the time and he picks that place to film... It was also the time I found this site. This site was something of a marvel back then. (I so wish I could remember my usernames and passwords.(If they haven't deleted them yet.)) Before it became a parrot of Facebook. Too many times I scroll through Bing newsfeed and see the same headlines here with no substance. No connections or deeper meanings. Parrot

Then 9-11-01 happened while I was in school. Seeing those buildings fall for no apparent reason. As a kid I was thinking the tops would fall off or something similar. Instead the whole building collapses.. Building 7... 7

Than I started to question the world around me. Not T.V, the world. I cannot articulate the reality I see. Adds hugely to the depression that I myself has manifested.

Now I just wait and see. Hope that when the truth comes out it will induce mass vomiting by the shear disgust of it all. If it doesn't than we are all still numb.

Sounds like you were watching the wrong TV channel or your parents were liberal and had CNN on.

The media portrays one as great and the other as sucking depending on who is funding them and their viewer base.

I have often pondered that very question. I think it is because humanity is basically a "herd" animal, and most will instinctively seek safety in a crowd. So if the herd believes a particular thing, they will follow without question, and instinctively reject any contradictory beliefs.

Just look at all those who get caught up in particular fads, or fashions; without being able to explain why.

It's easier to fool someone than it is to convince them they've been fooled.
Intelligence and emotional maturity are two key factors.

People will be more inclined to believe if the news is positive/hopeful
Likewise less inclined to believe if the news is negative/dread

Hindsight points at the liars as having been dishonest to us.

Our nature is to offer a plan of redemption, rather than cut their tongues out.

An example;
We trust the machines that scan our SAT answer sheets (very complex) to gauge our level of education and what we've learned during the course of our annual studies in school in preparation for the university of our choosing.

Then we turn around and expect the same technology/concept to tally who we choose to represent us in government using machines that aren't designed to detect dark spots indicating choice/correct answer.

There is the mob effect that can easily suck you in.

There are plenty paid to play dumb or outright lie.

I've known some who are hip to the truth, but fear what will happen to them if they speak out, so they keep quiet. These people are not high profile but scared if they post the wrong thing on FB, they will be targeted or ridiculed. Coincidentally, they spend the majority of their free time on tik tok and popular TV shows.

In order to fully put that into prospective I have to know how others do it or don't do it.

I never thought why me though. I used logic gained from experience. My ADHD seeing everything and my mind trying to make sense of it. I come to a simple conclusion and accept it.

Oh, child!

"Thiry years ago" was just the 1990's, but the media has had its "special relationship" with the political world for much, much longer than that. Read up on how FDR essentially hid his paralysis (due to polio) from the public with the willing cooperation of the press.

And Dole's "gimpy hand", as you call it (rather derisively, I might add) was the result of his heroic service during WWII.

A fact that many (actually, a far greater percentage back then) voters both recognized, and honored at the time; to the extent that many in the GOP felt his "war wounds" on display, as it were, would actually resonate with their demographic and improve his electability.

Clinton, OTH, was the "young upstart" having been "too young" to have achieved the "gravitas" it was commonly believed required of a true presidential candidate. The gravitas that Dole oozed in abundance as evidenced by often dour expression.

Dole was a Man Who Had Been There, and Seen That, and could therefore lead Us through anything.

What the old pundits failed to realize was that those 18 year olds who could now vote, who had grown up with the Vietnam War on nightly TV (virtually inescapable because TV was still mostly limited to network broadcasts), and who learned about WWII in school as "ancient history" (it was, after all 40 some years ago!) (Sound familiar? ), were looking for in a President was someone who was in touch with the times, who could chill.

Clinton, with his big toothy smile, friendly (convenient) southern (but not too Southern) drawl, and his sax made the whole package.

But, you have bought into one of the greatest tools the marketers have ever devised (well, in truth, they didn't, they just exploit it to the Nth degree): the firm and unshakable conviction that "You Are Special"!

You are not like all the other plebs, who think that they, too, are special.....

Nixon refused the makeup required to look "normal" under the lighting needed for TV broadcasting back then.

Thus he looked pale, washed-out, and sweaty under the hot, bright lights.

Only way to have looked good, under those conditions, would to have not shown Nixon at all, and certainly never in close up while answering questions. But that would have harmed his already tarnished image (remember Checkers?) by making him seem "distant" and unlikable as a candidate.

Kennedy knew (or his "people" knew) how to use TV, and the msm in general, to project a vibrant, youthful image; makeup is a GO!

Nixon's was a self-inflicted wound, no MSM interference necessary.

We shouldn't forget that Kennedy beat Nixon because he was better on camera. Nixon sweated and Kennedy did not. Kennedy knew how to play to the camera, Nixon did not. That's history and one that Bob Dole did not learn nearly as well as Slick Willy. And yes, his saxophone in dark glasses on TV. Until he did that show he was running almost dead last in the Democrat primary season but within weeks was on top, simply because he made the ''pop-culture'' news cycle. And don't forget, he first ran and defeated Daddy Bush who wanted to establish our leadership role in the New World Order. Yeah, running Slick against Drab Dole while Slick was riding the wave of the economic transformation of digital computers was a sad commentary on what the Republican Party had to offer in opposition.

but it is precisely how the system works to alter how we look at the world, what we think, eat, consume, buy, who we support, and who we vote for.

Precisely. We can go back more than a hundred years ago when the government wanted to enter WW1. Propaganda hit the movie houses and other cultural venues promoting that war which at that time was generally seen by most Americans as ''The Rich Mans War''. But politics aside, the system you bring up that alters how we think, eat and consume and buy should be paramount to our realizations of the control systems under which we struggle to survive. The American economy has been turned into selling product to ''dumbed down consumers'' now for at least a century. A lot of that has been accomplished by the whole course of ''branding''. Make your name known to unthinking Americans and that brand will stick. And stick. Clinton did it. He made his name stick. Trump did it with his brand, he made that brand stick. IT's all the same game. If everybody else is buying the product, it must be good, right?

but many, these days especially, you could show hours of video, volumes of sworn testimony from those within that system telling us that such a system exists and it's horrific goals for humanity, and they refuse to even consider it a possibility? How does anyone?

Indeed. Hours of video and sworn testimony from those within that system and people refuse to even consider it. You mean like all those videos and sworn testimony from the Jan. 6th commission and people still refuse to even consider it? From what I've heard on news is that all of that made no impact on those who believe in Trump at all.
