I think you need to check your geography.
Russia is indeed to the east and north of Ukraine, but there's a thing called the trade winds and they blow east to west, hence Europe having the fallout from Chernobyl.
If Putin launched a nuclear attack, it's more likely that Belarus, his strong ally would get the brunt of nuclear fallout. Don't think he will risk that in a hurry.

For the record:
Invading sovereign county = Bad
Bombing own citizens = Bad
Using civilians as shields = Bad
Torturing POW's = Bad

This conflict has escalated to the point of no return. Anyone who can get out of Ukraine should...

America and NATO are now outright rejecting Russia's request for peace talks(Source). Trying to regime change in Russia is some of the most insane foreign policy I have ever seen.

If you have a πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ in your handle I hold you somewhat accountable for this escalation...
