Knowing how the United Nations was originally set up, I would be surprised if the Constitution allowed for the possibility of removing their Permanent Membership. The whole point was to keep the major allies of 1945 unassailable, even from each other.

So essentially, most of the world just formally rejected Russia's annexation, and those territories will not be recognized as part of Russia. Now some might argue that this is just a formality, but it IS important. It is a worldwide wake up message to Putin that no, he can't just go claiming territories with sham referendums any time he pleases. Makes for messy map making
Promoting more level headed approaches and less potentially catastrophic decisions doesnt make someone a Russia lover
I remember when a lot of the people on here werent dead set on WW3 and possible Nuclear annihilation
We have truly stepped into backwards world

Plain as day the majority of the civilized world condemns Putin's actions in Ukraine.
Time for Russia to go back home and think again.
Not that i imagine Putin and his ilk will see it that way.

If they remove Russia they will go after China.
Truss had being clear on the objective.
