Your first post I responded to said it's taking a longer route, dodging Chinese air space. I pointed out how the circumference of a ball shaped object works.

Now you're saying China has banned Russian airlines. Two different arguments you're making in two different posts.

And further to your new link, it says China banned Boeing & Airbus jets flown by Russian airlines, but owned (the aircraft) by foreign (ie western) leasing firms. It's all down to the certification of the aircraft, which the link even specifies has to do with international air traffic regulations and such.
That means the planes of Boeing & Airbus origin, are flown by Russian airlines, but they (the Russian airlines) are leasing them from foreign firms. Like renting a car from Hertz. You don't own it, Hertz does. You pay Hertz to drive it for X amount of days.

So not sure what any of this has to do with a rumour of a coup in China?

You are missing the point.

That`s aeroflot flight route according to flightconnections.com .

But just find the reason, it was China who ban them flying in their aerospace

Actually, @Kenzo's comment on the flight routes was very clear -- the flight route avoids Chinese airspace.

The comments made in this thread regarding great circle distance are not relevant.

Something is going on in China such that they are keeping traffic out of their airspace.

Cheers

Any form of destabilization across the world at the moment isn't a great idea. The west is not in great shape either. If China and Russia are going more hardline like XI wanting more control over the army, it is because he is backing Putin, and doesn't want that to fail. On the other hand factions in China would see this and try to get rid of him because it could lead to a worse situation than now. Western Governments would go more hard line as well to keep their populations under control. Like Germany and USA vilifying any opposition to policies. Or Switzerland going to jail if you use too much power. Unstable situations tend to get more unstable.

Following that chain of thought, could this all be smoke signals designed to destabilise?

If hypothetically covid was China’s reaction to Trump’s trade war (which was proven pretty effective); sink the world economy with a pandemic before China became the basket case of the world - a nation set up to manufacture for a world that less willing to buy their goods.

If that were the case, then might this be a phase 2? Fake a coup and unrest with military convoys and rumours.

It’s far fetched, as it could in fact backfire and inspire an actual coup in a country treating its people so brutally throughout covid. But what if all those rumours and leaks are vastly exaggerated on purpose

I’m expecting the notion to be destroyed, but but it’s worth keeping an open mind

Yes, it's an information war, based on half-truths and disinformation. If we are lucky the results we see slipping through the cracks are what we have to try to find out what is actually going on. So an open mind is an essential item.

China in grip of coup rumours

Social media across China and the rest of Asia continues to be in overdrive today as persistent rumours that president Xi Jinping has been removed in a coup refuse to die down.

Local and regional media speculate China’s long-standing leader was removed when he was away in Samarkand while attending the recent SCO summit, on 14 September.

Xi Jinping has reportedly not been seen in public since then although any rumours have been widely debunked in the last 24 hours.

Nevertheless, according to various reports in half a dozen Asian countries today, including India and Singapore, there are unconfirmed reports Xi Jinping has been placed under house arrest and is being replaced by the powerful army general Li Qiaoming.

Most noticeably, Xi did not appear in New York City last week to attend the annual General Assembly meeting while no reason was given for his absence.

I'm still not buying this without any actual evidence but there's usually no smoke without fire???

Here is something I find strange-which might indicate something is going down-

The "coup" story/rumour has now begun to spread to other countries in Asia including India and Singapore-

Li Qiaoming, who is among the most senior officials of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), has served as commander of the Northern Theater Command since September 2017.
When approached by City A.M. this afternoon local time in Beijing, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to comment.

www.msn.com... 2eYRW?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=32cde5c7d6d64b83d0e26d58946fb2cf

That last sentence I bolded, because its odd-"Refused to comment.."
That ain't SOP for the CCP.
SOP is deny,deny,deny.

Covid, and its economic damage, the droughts, the earthquakes alone may be enough to have caused the party to move on XI-These natural disasters(and covid) may have people talking about the "mandate of heaven" being taken away from XI.

That is a chinese idea that the heavens/gods will show dissaproval of a Chinese leader via natural disasters-basicly telling the people to replace him or else!Yes its tommyrot, but they believe it.

The loss of face in front of the entire planet over the recent Taiwan threats which were not carried out after Pelosi's visit may have been the final straw. The worlds media were calling China a paper tiger, and were proved correct in that instance-which will not have gone down well in the party I bet.

Just my opinion it may be wrong.

That makes a change huh..

I am waiting for the guys at "the China Show" to mention more about this on youtube.
They usually have a pretty good understanding of whats going on.
They mentoned it on their last live show which was over a week ago-but they had nothing but uncorroborated rumor at that early stage.

To be more accurate, "China will now have a war minded crazy dictator in charge". Xi was a crazy dictator in every sense of the term himself.

Yes, I too enjoy their content. The last stream was Friday though, right as the rumors started. They prefer not to speak until they can verify the info they divulge. Which, ironically, is the reason I enjoy watching them. They don't speak on rumors, only fact.

Ah yes you are right it was the show last friday.
They said they would be lookng into it.

Im not liking the sound of this General taking over though-Normally we would call that a military coup, but in China the top party and army dudes are really just different tentacles of the same beast-so its more like an internal coup.

A military generals leadership style may be very dfferent to Xi's way of doing things though..

They normally have a parade around the 1st of October in Beijing but all the cancelled trains and flights are odd
