Stocks have always been a risky venture to base your income on.

Sure, investing is smart and wise, but when companies begin exploiting lax regulations for profit margins to appease shareholders at the expense of the overall general welfare of the people and is suddenly subject to government regulations because they are exploiting not only the working class but the consumer class as well, it's gonna hit certain investors where it hurts.

That's the nature of checks and balances and the American Way.

I'm sure everyone with enough expendable capital is just going to off themselves now because the lower classes can afford to eat and buy gas and other essentials rather than be a Traditonal American and actually suck it up and roll with the punches.

Thems the breaks.

Your 401K might take a hit for a while, but don't worry, through hard work and persistence and cutting a few nonessentials and luxury items and living within your means, you'll be able to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
