The British Royal Guards saluted the Russian President before the orchestra of the guards played the anthems of Russia and the United Kingdom.

Visits on this level have not been held in Great Britain for two years.

The ceremonial welcome of Vladimir Putin and his wife with Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh was held at the Horse Guard parade grounds. Royal British guardsmen greeted the Russian President with a salute. A welcome ceremony on the Horse Guard square is the highest honour that the Queen can bestow on a head of state who is in the country on a state visit.

The program of Vladimir Putin’s visit to Great Britain features many cultural and political events. It is conducted in observance with the British protocol for receiving high-ranking guests, protocol that has been established over the centuries.

In an interview with the BBC just before the visit, President Putin said that this visit to Great Britain was a reflection of the new quality of relations between the two countries.

Elizabeth II assured the President that London backed the efforts of the Russian leadership to create a modern, prosperous and dynamic state.

For his part, Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that his visit to Britain would give a new impetus to the development of Russian-British relations.

Vladimir Putin thanked Queen Elizabeth II for her help in promoting bilateral relations, stressing that the Russians remembered Her Majesty’s visit to Russia in 1994.

The President noted that the sound level of political interaction between Moscow and London was conducive to building up trade and economic interaction. Russia and Britain are each other’s key foreign policy priorities.

Certainly a historical trend for Russia to 'worry' about its southern borders. As one geopolitical analyst pointed out, the lack of mountains there drives the outlook of Russian leadership.

I see information that he was 12 minutes late due to traffic jams in London.

Improve the situation on British roads and you will have the pleasure of seeing your guests arrive on time.

Are you sure it is the only path to Windsor? .. i doubt it. One path is to Kievan rus is Judith Maria of Kiev ( born 1089) she was one of many ancestors of Saxe-Coburn and only one listed as descendants of Alfred the Great (12 generations) which was only Kievan Rus in there. I just printed it as PDF of Alfreds decendants it is 95 pages long.

She has direct lineage to Alfred without previous connection .. so you are wrong here
This is her direct lineage to Alfred i generated using geni

What do you think about the words, no sorry, tweet of Annalena Baerbock, foreign minister of Germany or better, foreign WEF agent, WEF Young Global Leader:

Wir trauern mit unseren britischen Freund*innen um #QueenElizabeth II. Sie war für ihr Land fast 100 Jahre lang Quelle der Stärke und Zuversicht. Deutschland bleibt ihr ewig dankbar, dass sie uns nach dem Terror des Zweiten Weltkriegs die Hand zur Versöhnung gereicht hat.

We mourn with our British friends the loss of #QueenElizabeth II. She was a source of strength and confidence for her country for almost 100 years. Germany remains eternally grateful to her for reaching out to us for reconciliation after the terror of the Second World War.

People here were firstly really upset that she first send only a twitter tweet(people here think it´s disrespectful), secondly that she used this "condolence" to push her gender agenda, thirdly because of the fact that Queen Eliazbeth II wasn´t queen since almost 100 years but Baerbock made it look like that. Fourth problem was that she said British friends and forgot the Commonwealth States + Scotland and Ireland(even there some people mourn now).

People here in Germany take a closer look at her words because her not available intelligence and uncontrolled babbling is a burden and danger for nation and people and it could end in a disaster if she opens her WEF and transatlantic controlled mouth once too often.

What do you think about her tweet?
Cheers

Edit - Somehow that gender BS * in her tweet is in my text but i can´t see it when it´s posted. I hope you can see it because i remember that i put an Addon to my browser that eliminates most of that gender BS xD

From your article...

"During a visit to the U.S. in 1983, Queen Elizabeth was running late for dinner with President Ronald Reagan in California – a rare occurrence for the punctual monarch."

It's certainly not a rare occurence for Putin as you can see from my list...

Good morning ATS.

Putins words:-

"The most important events in the recent history of the United Kingdom are inextricably linked with the name of Her Majesty.

“For many decades, Elizabeth II rightfully enjoyed the love and respect of her subjects, as well as authority on the world stage.

"I wish you courage and perseverance in the face of this heavy, irreparable loss.

“I ask you to convey the words of sincere sympathy and support to the members of the royal family and all the people of Great Britain. Sincerely, Vladimir Putin."

Not sure how I feel about this... Fair play to him for being sincere and I appreciate the words... I just don't like where it's coming from I suppose..

At least he has shown he still has some compassion for other poeple in the world...

What are your thoughts ATS?

It's more or less an international obligation. A week or so back the UK expressed their condolences when Gorbachev died, even though it was his policies that lead to the rise of the Russian Oligarch, and to the multiple civil wars in the power vacuum that followed the breakup of the Soviet Union. He was arguably responsible for several million deaths.

When both Trump and Biden die, whoever is in Charge of Russia will say more or less the same for them.

That was my first thought too, people are overdoing it a bit and who cares about tweets anyway. But on the other side it is no wonder that people here react like that because if you know her like we know her, if you would know about her verbal and tactical failures she delivered until now, you would also weigh every word she says with a pinch of salt. Because often it will be very expensive for the German tax payer and worker when she starts to babble around.
Cheers

Offering condolences is a sign of respect no an act of war, soo I see no problem with that, it is expected that all countries in the world will send their respect.
