I'm a non American posting on a predominantly American forum.

So I see things from the outside looking in.

Why you guys so agitated?

I make a post suggesting for instance I haven't a problem with vaccinations, I might make a post with a vaguely liberal attitude to eg parenting. I believe we should hold on to the fine art of debating.

But on these forums .. make a comment and you are pro trump, or an anti gun person, or a progressive fool etc.

Americans, why so many of you so wound up and polarised?

And yes ... I think Trump is a bad influence. You had a man as President who could not debate and instead insulted, and I think many of his followers bathe in this ignorance as though it's a good thing.

No. You see what the main stream media want you to see, in hopes that you form your opinion to fit their agenda.

Seems to be working just fine.

As far as agitated ?

We're pretty damn sick of the Left telling us what to do, when to do it, what to say, how to say it and who we can say it to. We're tired of being called Nazis, Fascists or whatever name of the day they decide on, just because we don't follow their group think. We just want to be left alone and not forced to follow some Left Wing agenda.

I'm 58 years old. I don't need these assholes telling me how to live my life.

I think America will implode, but then what occurs online probably has nothing to do with real life.

“Americans, why so many of you so wound up and polarised? ”

Our livelihood is being ripped away from us, right in front of our faces, piece by piece.

Enjoy your passivity. How’s the video game?

I’m fighting for a better world for my children. What do you wake up for?

I don't think grouping people into 2 camps makes a better future for anyone.

Sums it up nicely.

That's what is causing all the polarisation.

Think of it this way : If you own a store, what happens when most of your customers just stop buying from you ?

Let’s see if I can explain this in a way that you can understand.

Imagine that for generations you were just residents of the land. You didn’t own the land, you didn’t really own what crops you produced nor animals raised. You needed express written permission to hunt for food and could be arrested and held for years without trial or even hung for stealing if you didn’t. You were told who your leaders were and that was just the way it was for centuries…oh wait, Americans never had that nonsense.

What Americans had was freedom until certain people decided that Americans should live like that so long as they remained the aristocracy and the others remained the peasants.

The end goal of Progressivism is Feudalism. Dress it up with socialist ideas, but the end result is the same. A serf on the land for most people being crushed under the heel of a self appointed lord. That’s not America, it’s not even the UK anymore.

So people that realize the lies, nip it in the bud before more people fall for the bull.

The artificial radicalization of the Left has caused people to have to react to the extremism. If we would have silently abided we would still probably be in covid lockdowns.

My guess for the OP would be to spread as much anarchy on forums as possible.

We had prosperity under Trump; now we have more people living in poverty than ever before, less freedom every day, and no sign that things will ever improve.

No matter where you live in the world you'd have to be awfully ill informed not to see America being destroyed at the hands of one party... or maybe be a woke, progressive liberal wallowing in biased denial of facts.

When the question can so easily be answered by a quick internet search, I can only assume the reason for posing it is typical agent provocateur stuff, trying to draw out information for political motives. Russia!

I’ll tell the OP what it is.

Americans are trained never to talk about class – it’s the ultimate taboo, the final no-no.

The left of center elite have gotten a lot of money in the last 15 years, and they are shutting the door on the rest of us. America used to be the land of opportunity, and they are making up new rules so that people who do not match them, cannot get ahead . A lot of Americans, most of them, are living paycheck to paycheck. So the president single-handedly forgives loans for the children of upper middle class families. A lot of working people are considering quitting their job, because they cannot afford gas to get to their job.

It’s also a war of the big cities versus the suburbs and rural America. And the elites are ready to do anything in order to win. If you don’t look at the statistics they publish, but find your own statistics, you see that the Democrats lost most of the races in 2020 yet still the president won his race. That hasn’t happened in more than 100 years in the United States. The vote fraud is obvious at the local level, and no one is allowed to talk about it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this post disappears. But yes, the elites are all in, and committed to whatever it takes to keep themselves in power and exclude the peasants.

And we may have done a little bit
Of fightin' amongst ourselves
But you outside people best leave us alone
'Cause we'll all stick together
And you can take that to the bank
That's the cowboys and the hippies
And the Rebels and and the Yanks
You just go and lay your hands
On a Pittsburgh Steelers' fan
And I think you're gonna finally understand

In America " Charlie Daniels Band . Good ol CDB
Done.

Our government has been thrown into a state of either incompetent disarray by millenials LARPing west Wing.

Or intentionally sabotaged by commies and Marxists

Or a combination of the two.

They're destroying our Country, enabling the sexual abuse of children, and destabilizing the world economy.

To name a few of the problems...

Believe it or not, purposeful or not, you spoke on first and second ammendment principals.

Which are being fought against and eroded.

Some of us hold the Constitution in high esteem and will discuss, debate and fight over its erosion.

Well, as you stated, you're not here.

So stop watching our news.

Because in a lot of America, face to face? We can talk about the issues. We can debate. Hell, one of my closest friends is pro vax, and a democrat. We have great discussions, and actually listen and ask questions. And at the then end of the conversation, we are still friends.

Same with all my neighbors. We don't all agree on everything, but when one of them needs something, we still get together to help them.
So, don't believe what your TV is telling you.

Now we have a president that showered with his own teenaged daughter, fondles little girls, puts his crackhead, incestuous pedo son in positions of power to sell government secrets, sells us out to China and has bankrupt the country.

Even the most radical liberals are starting to long for mean tweets from an orange man and the prosperity he brought.

Americans; go figure.

Your country must be a paradise; would you mind sharing where this utopia is?

Agreed. This mentality of either this or that is destroying the US. Life is more complex than black and white.
