Predator Poachers has successfully initiated arrests in multiple states, and that 80% of the other suspects he had confronted in California had been arrested the day of his stings or in the days after he spoke to police, but Westfall still has not been charged with any crime.
“This person said they wanted to molest a 1-year-old. They sent child sexual abuse material on Telegram. There was horrific, horrific sh*t. All I can say is, we’ve gotten people arrested for a lot less.”
Reduxx reached out to the Berkeley Police Department, which did confirm it had an open case number related to the incident, and suggested the matter was still under investigation.
While Westfall deleted the Instagram profile he used to contact the 9-year-old decoy, he has an additional account on the platform.
Really? He went to go meet the 9 year old after that "innocent chat".

You can be charged with intent to commit a crime, yes. And perhaps the cops could have arrested this person based on what the "stingers" told them on the spot, perhaps. But the claim that the person was not arrested because they are trans doesn't hold much water.
A pedophile is a pedophile. They come in various sorts. All of them vile.
To Catch a Predator is an American reality television series that features hidden camera investigations by the television news magazine program Dateline NBC. It was devoted to impersonating underage people (generally ages 12 - 15) and detaining male adults who contacted them over the Internet for sexual liaisons. People were lured to meet with a decoy under the pretense of sexual contact and then confronted. Show host Chris Hansen clarified in an interview with NPR News that these subjects should be labeled as potential sexual predators, and not pedophiles. "Pedophiles have a very specific definition, people who are interested in prepubescent sex," he stated

I take it your stepdad is/was trans? Otherwise you are off topic because only transpeople and homosexuals abuse children.
