I've had similar experiences with dreams and other things.
Last year before I went on a family vacation with my sister and another family (close family friends of my sister), I had dreamt that a dog died on
the trip, among other things, before the vacation time. I told my family about my dream beforehand and low and behold (sadly) a dog died upon arrival
to the vacation house. I didn't even know the owners (they were from the close family friend side) and I had never met the dog prior, but my dream
was spookily accurate.
Really sad and spooky.
Sometimes I think it's our ability to just analyze the data which we have unconsciously collected in life (our experiences, everything involved, all
the unseen variables) and unconsciously output predictions of which we actually happen to be good at.
Unconscious intuitive processing of stuff, when really your brain is just doing things you're not conscious of.
But it can be quite spooky too.
It does sometimes feel like life has already happened and we're replaying it too. Like one force put all of this into motion and now it's just a
matter of sitting back and letting it all play out, like watching dominos.
It's sad to hear that you wished that ability away... but I understand how lonely it is feeling like a freak. I hope you don't shun your own
abilities forever, and maybe learn to give your intuition the benefit of the doubt as it may actually help aid and prepare you for the future.
Ever read the book "Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk? If not, I highly recommend giving it a read. Something about your posts reminded me of it.
