Well, the ones that are alive do.


However, the way we breathe does indeed affect our heart rate.

"Slow breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which causes the heart rate to slow down."

I thought it was the endocrine system which regulates heart sinus? The pituitary gland and the thyroid. I know this because I had a hyper-thyroid which screwed up my sinus which in turn made me undergo cardioversion for atrial fibrillation.

It's the thyroid gland in your throat which is dominant in regulating your heartbeat.

No not quite, just that it is connected to the brain, like the rest of our bodily functions, your initial post made it sound as if it were independent thanks for elaborating.
