Hi all,

I wanted to share some thinking.

The human brain keeps the heart pumping blood to itself to keep itself alive. It could not live without the heart. The heart, operated by the brain, keeps the brain alive because of the brain operating the heart. When this cycle ceases you lose your # and your body starts to rot.

The brain could not live without the heart and the heart could not live without the brain. It's a unity responsible for being alive. Other organs make sure the blood used to feed the brain stays healthy to make you fully functional. Lack of oxygen, lack of nutrients and physical damage can cause the cycles of your body to cease.

Being alive is a peculiar thing.

Every day I'm absolutely blown away by the fact that I exist, the mechanism by which I am able to percieve that I exist, and somehow all of this came into being by means beyond my limited comprehension.

Yet it’s so easy to take it all for granted, thanks for the reminder.

The human brain keeps the heart pumping blood to itself to keep itself alive.

The brain does not make the heart beat ....the heart beats by itself.

The heart has its own electrical system that causes it to beat and pump blood. Because of this, the heart can continue to beat for a short time after brain death, or after being removed from the body.

How then do the adepts consciously slow their heart rate?

Are you trying to say that the heart does not beat itself ....by asking that question?

Does the heart stop beating shortly after the brain dies?

It only needs oxygen to keep on beating.

In addition to the intrinsic heartbeat that the heart has all by itself, the autonomic nervous system is a separate part of the brain and the brain function that can either speed up or slow down your heart.

With that regulation, the rate then has a great deal of variability all throughout the day, depending on what your body needs.

True story, bro.

My aunt has Chron, and her husband had cancer and was euthanised past friday. Thursday I'm attending the funeral. Chron is a disease of the bowels. I somehow thought about it when you mentioned rectum.

The brain could not live without the heart and the heart could not live without the brain.

There is such a thing as an artificial heart Untun, brains well not so much.

As to being alive a peculiar thing, well from our first breath to our last, we don't really know any other way to be.

Humans are a peculiar thing by my guesstimation, given some of the things we do and what we get up to whilst alive.

I guess, an artificial heart also has its own power supply as a human heart, as we can learn from this thread.

The power supply comes from a battery through which is also artificial.

Where the human body is concerned apparently "the flow of charges across the cell membranes is what generates an electrical current."

By staying calm.

Or by running very fast and then take a rest.

Haha, not.

Apparently, it's to do with the way they breathe raising their aortic pressure.

Pretty much a meditation technique.
