How do you know those items in question were not there prior to his leaving office?

Even if they were there prior to leaving office, he was notified shortly after leaving office they would need to be turned over to NARA. It took nearly a year before the 15 boxes were turned over and apparently that still wasn't everything.

A hearing wherein the Congressman who are conducting it feel that they have all the evidence they need to prove Trump's guilt. Let that be enough for you to feel vindicated. Good Question ! First, it was never Trump’s FBI, and I’d assert it was corrupt when Trump took office, at least the top tier. Trump still has a clearance. A very high clearance, in fact. Because as POTUS he had access to a lot of things. There is no way to know how much he retained mentally. If he had an operation only certain people can do the procedure due to what he could say while under.

Even if you do not have a clearance. No matter how deeply classified an event becomes (say full on alien contact and a treaty) if you were there and part of it, you are automatically cleared for what you were a part of in the event. Let’s say for example that there were two assassins on the grassy knoll and you took one out. The official story might have became that you tried to save JFK, but no one would have heard about LHO or the second assassin. You probably would have had a heart attack in December 1963…but until then you would know that guy was shooting at the motorcade. You might be told the second guy was too…or was trying to kill the first guy and ran to get Oswald but was too late…

I do have a question for the cheer leaders of the left here, if this is really about some boxes of documents that Trump has, do you honestly think this is a tipping point that will turn his supporters away from him?

I'm of the belief that if he broke a law, arrest him, but as research has shown, that won't stop him from running again, and he has massive momentum right now, plus his track record against what followed, showing that if you want to know what piss poor leadership will give you, look no further than Joe Biden.

well yes former presidents do get Intelligence briefings, and can ask for them which would still require a security clearance.

here is just one article that states slo joe wanted to stop trump from classified intelligence briefings.
