As midterms are getting closer in the fall.
You can expect some stories how the ecmcony under the Biden admin/democrats is doing just fine.

The Biden admin is trying to avoid any discussions on the rising high inflation, living costs for some.

The Biden admin is only focusing on the Jobs growth which likely is a summer boost. dont get fooled into these news stories that the ecmoncy is doing just fine.

Biden Touts Jobs Report as White House Insists Economy Strong
US adds 528,000 jobs in July, much higher than expected

You have many other news stories how the economy isn't doing well and people are struggling.

The Biden admin and the liberals are ignoring the headlines about the rising costs of living how it could hurt the ordinary people and even those living in the blue states as much.
Higher housing costs force more pet owners to surrender their dogs

The Liberals dont want to admit to many that the Economy fine nor is it strong.

They are trying to mask the Economy nor the US is in a recession.

Meanwhile, Walmart, Verizon, T Mobile, Tesla and others are laying off.

The diehard Democrats will believe the lies, while the rest of us who live in reality look around and realize we're screwed.

How many of those new jobs are IRS agents? Gotta make sure you suck every dime out of the middle class.

How many of these jobs are from people who job hop and are they counted more than once? It is the government's numbers after all. I don't know what to believe.

I'd rather have a strong job report with our current economic conditions than not. The company I work for has been actively hiring for three years...we still are.

I'm not a fan of this administration but we live in very complex economic times. It's not easy to say this group is bad because they don't care (which both sides will do anyways). Yes, we have very high inflation, but there are multiple reasons: loose money policies, supply chain issues, high energy costs, etc.

I disagree with the notion that they are ignoring the issues. Interest rates are rising and gas prices are decreasing, which are two good steps.

Inflation exists only for some goods. I picked up some electronics 25% cheaper than a year ago. Same make and models. That's not even adjusti g for inflation. Other goods are cheap right now, as well. Unfortunately, it's the necessities that are inflated.

I would like to live in your fantasy lands because you do not need the necessities like food, gas, electricity to live. I guess you can eat cheap electronics in your reality. Everything is ok. Inflation doesn’t hurt anyone in my bubble. Lol!! reply to: InwardDiver

The job report has high numbers because a lot of people are getting a second job. I have a second job and a lot of the people I work with got second jobs. Everything you need, not want costs a hell of a lot more. There is only so much downsizing and frugality can do to help in a recession. a reply to: Tarzan the apeman.

That's not at all the meaning of my comment. Of course I need necessities and have felt the pinch like everyone else. These economic conditions aren't so simple.

Many businesses purchase electronics. It's a thing this century.

loose money policies - dirty democrats making bad policies to line the pockets of themselves and their donors.

supply chain issues - congress insisted on the lockdowns that started this. I'm not sure what they've done to prevent it from self-healing but they've had the bag for two years...

high energy costs - we know exactly who to blame for this one. He did it, and then he said he was going to keep doing it... and he's still doing it. It's extremely easy to point the finger here, it's not a secret and it is on purpose. I spent $30 in gasoline last week to get to my drs office and back.

Agreed, there are reasons for these causes. Everything is a chain of cause and effect. The corruption isn't limited to Democrats. Yes, the lockdowns had a significant impact. It's a major part of why we live in such complex times. And, yes, high energy costs.

The new looting the tax payer bill, 389B for green scam, those are the DNC and the democrats' donors, the rest is higher taxes and 60b for health care increases because lets face it, we got millions of new illegals crossing the border and they need the tax dollars to pay for their health care, plus the drugs cartels now with their new Fentanyl victims in the US.

Yep keep looting the tax payer in the nation.

Democrats the party that keeps on giving.

Those electronics were cheeper because the demand for things like that is way down. This in because there is less money available for things like that. Also electronics naturally go down in price as that model was at least a year old.

Electronics don't increase as much by shipping costs because they do not have a short shelf life or need refrigeration.

Wonder why Wall Street gave a solid "Meh" to this strong economy report.

Possible even they're seeing fancy accounting, and/or folks taking multiple jobs to make ends meet?

That's a possibility. I don't know the answer to that. The stock market is strange right now, at least from my limited knowledge and experience with it.

This quarter ends September 30. Today is August 6.

Joe needs a few things to happen:
  • Gas back below $3, $2.50 would be better.
  • The Fall Harvest needs some bumper crops this year in stable staples like potatoes, onions, carrots, etc.
  • Increase consumer confidence in spending. Tell Ford, Chrysler and GM there better be cars available in 2024 and start talking about them now.
  • EV’s are a waste of time if we cannot cheaply produce and store the electricity required in an environmentally responsible manner. Strip mining the entire Earth fort Lithium, Cadmium, etc is not the answer nor are empty fields of crops for solar panels and windmills.
  • Hotels and sit down restaurants should be fighting for charging stations right now for customer association of their name with free charging. But they are not doing this. Why is that? Why isn’t this a government funded thing? Not a peep.
  • Trump is not the POTUS anymore. There is no need to impeach him anymore. Move on to addressing current problems before you have angry mobs for different reasons (like starving under the recession you won’t acknowledge) storming the Capitol.
  • But most importantly, domestic production. The farmer grows cotton or flax or hemp. The textile mill turns it to cloth. The seamstresses and tailors turn it into clothes. Truckers haul it to stores. Who in turn sell it to people. Look, a functioning economy.

Valid points. Along with the overstock companies acquired because of supply chain issues, or so I've read.
