Do you take any special measures to keep you from contracting Covid or a "Pox" again?

I got a shingles vaccine this year, does that count? When I know people have covid at work, I keep my distance. That's about it.

And again, I got all of my kids vaccinated for chickenpox. It was too late for me, but I didn't want them to have to go through that if it can be avoided.

Good, go collect your Darwin award and erase your genes from the gene pool. Good job.

Now go get the monkeypox vaccine or 3. Also you're gonna need your 3rd covid vaxx and your flu shot and whatever else they tell you you need.

It's a wonder how humans have survived without getting stuck with 86 vaccines every week since we don't have immune systems.

Mmmkay, when do I die? I've been asking you this for months and you've never answered.

Never had a flu shot, and I won't get a covid booster until they tailor it to the current strain. People who are vaccinated for smallpox apparently don't have to worry about monkeypox, but routine smallpox vaccinations stopped before I was born. If it becomes a widespread problem, I'll probably get a vaccine for it, and I'll survive. I don't think it will get that bad, but who knows?

Who is getting that many vaccines, and what is your obsession with boosters? A lot of childhood vaccines require boosters. It's not a new thing. Hell, polio is 4 doses by the time you're 6 years old iirc. 3 within the first year and a half. Covid is currently 2 shots and a booster. 2 boosters for elderly and extremely comprised, and it's also hard to get. I know people who want the second booster due to health problems, and they can't get it. In America anyway. Canada is doing every 9 months I think. And those people will survive.

ETA: dude has 3 stars for wishing me death so far. Way to go, ATS.

I got a nice model of a biplane. Apparently I was pretty sick. Most of what I remember is the doctor coming to the house every day to check on me.

If you had chicken pox as a child you have immunity, so I've heard.

There are people who didn't?

You don't remember chicken pox parties?

Hell my siblings shared a bath with some kid who had the pox. It wasn't an accident, it was carefully planned to deliberately infect us while we were young and resilient.

It's the same people who are touting nAtUrAl iMmUnItY now. It was also child abuse. You have to catch something, and endure the pathogen, to get nAtUrAl iMmUnItY.

Do you know why those parties aren't a thing anymore? Vaccines.

Well, I had chicken pox as a kid and Ive shingles as an adult, it isn't fun. But I got my smallpox vax and my chances of seeing a man with open monkey pox sores much less rubbing myself all over them are infinitesimally small.

yep shingles definitely sucked.

no chance i'm popping monkey bubbles ever.

It's not spreading because one region has gay sex orgies and the other doesn't.

I have the little scar on my arm, and in fact, I have two of them. I think the doctor may have screwed up and given my brothers vaccine to me back in the sixties...I got the second mark after going to an appointment and my brother does not have the scar but he supposedly got his vaccine around that time. My mother asked the doctor why my scar rejuvinated, he said it must have reactivated somehow.....It could have been a mess up which he did not want to admit.

From CDC

How it Spreads

Touching objects, fabrics (clothing, bedding, or towels), and surfaces that have been used by someone with monkeypox.

I personally think its more bull# for population control. Pretty soon they are going to instigate more conflict because we the people around the globe are #ing fed the # up with thier lies and their house if cards will come crumbling down around them !! They get power for 1 hour , then comes a sudden and swift destruction of The Wicked .... Only God knows who the tares are...reply to: JAGStorm

The prevalent method of transmission is anal sex.
Men have the most anal sex.
Ergo men are the most infected and most likely source of transmission.
Simplest way to not be given MP is to not have anal sex with a man. EZ PZ

Women have a lot of anal sec too, ask any (catholic ) Italian for e.g

Basically, it could spread easily in a day care environment, but you have to get it to a kid in the first place, but for adults, the regular course of adult life doesn't lend to it spreading well beyond certain activities.

After COVID especially no one gets that close to anyone else.

It's primary method of transmission has an easier pathway to infection in certain communities which culturally involve large fluid transfers between random individuals.

Does that sound better?
