I thought I'd put this up for fairly obvious reasons, and if you don't start taking this really really seriously then I sincerely hope you enjoy your crickets by candlelight.

Earlier this year in The Netherlands The Rabobank opened up a new side gig called The Rabo Carbon Bank.

Oh yes they did!

And this is the new Chief Psychopath CEO, Barbara Baarsma

At this point you might be thinking, well this is all just banker BS high finance, nothing to do with me, maybe?

Well, how about you start getting your head around the idea of getting roped up into all of that "just banker BS high finance stuff" in a very very personal way.

A couple of days ago, the very psycho you see above came out with the following idea, the Personal Carbon Wallet.

A brief summary of the bad stuff. If you can't afford to drive a car or buy meat because you don't have enough carbon credits, you can always sell the carbon credits you do have to rich people so that they can have longer holidays with their private jets.

So there you have it, it's coming, at least it will be unless you realise quick smart that this is about to get all uber personal and right up in your grill real soon. I'm hoping that the penny drops and people understand that this is about prison privileges and nothing to do with saving the environment, but I'm not holding CO2 in.

And lets not forget, Carbon Dioxide is a trace gas that amounts to 0.04% of all atmospheric gases. Pretty sure that's not the problem.

They can kiss my butt. I will starve before the rich can have my carbon. They won't miss it, but it's principle.

I know , like many of us here, but what can we do other than refuse to comply ? I'm not optimistic about the future, not at all. I wish I hadn't had my child

Never ever think that mate. That's exactly what they want you to think. They want you to think you are a useless eater, nothing could be further from the truth.

Educate your kid. I'm not saying the future is going to be easy, but it's all our future, not just an elite handful.

I don't think I'm a 'useless eater' and especially not my son. But things are just non-stop

I will fight for his future, but if not for him I would be checking out (after my mom passes). To me it's not worth it anymore. I will have no choice but to stay and fight though.

Aim for the adam's apple.
It can be tricky knowing where the neck ends and the asshole begins.

Well, I dunno, but why do you think Bill Gates is buying up all that farm land? He perhaps feels he isn't rich enough and wants to get even richer with all the carbon credits he will get off of that acreage?

BTW, back in April of this year, I got the following email from acrevalue.com

As carbon farming continues making headlines, you may be wondering what the best next step is for farmers. There are clear benefits to starting carbon farming now:

Builds soil health. It pays to prioritize soil health. Soil with higher carbon levels is better at cycling nutrients and withstanding extreme weather events, which can protect yields during times of drought or excess precipitation, among many other important agronomic benefits.
Limit the impact of rising input costs. Carbon farming practices have been shown to reduce the need for chemical inputs by building natural soil fertility. That’s handy, considering fertilizer prices have doubled over the past year alone.
Capturing carbon takes time. The process of planning for, implementing, and seeing the results of carbon farming – especially when starting slow with practice adoption – takes time.

By starting to plan out practice changes and enrolling in a carbon program now, farmers can put their operation on track to generate significant carbon credits with agronomic help and support from Indigo. If you’re a farmer, see how much you could be earning with Carbon by Indigo.

What's My Earning Potential?

If you’re a landowner who is interested in improving the long-term health and yield stability of your land, refer your partner farmers to Carbon by Indigo. Farmers managing 150 or more acres in any of our 30 supported states are eligible to enroll in our carbon farming program.

They make this sound like a done deal, don't they?

Yes and I'm sure, as far as they think, that they believe it to be so. Shame they haven't asked the other 7 billion or so people on the planet. Oh but that's right, we don't get a say in their brave new fascist totalitarian nightmare.

They can try collect the CO2 from my 80s rally car. That is, if they can keep up with it.

On a serious note, I invested in solar power a few years ago. The amount of CO2 I save is substantial higher than what I produce.

So Barbara Baarsma can suck my toes, I keep my car and if someone would tell her to buy high quality mascara next time, the world would be a finer place.

we have been here before as this all sounds remarkably like 1970s green feudalism that created the neoliberal world.

I still anticipate another series of unintended consequences that sink their plans..

though historically not the first time they've done it to themselves the big one was thinking they could put a king Arthur on the throne of Camelot to reign over a new Virgilian age only to end up nudging the reformation along..

the elite and their plans tend to be ill though out in actual detail or in terms of common sense..
